Hi all, I have been a lurker for a good few months now, and I have finally found the car I wanted, and locally too!

What spurred me on to fulfill my lifelong dream sooner rather than later was loosing a close friend to cancer, and suffering ill health myself
for a good part of this year. I took the plunge and purchased my dream car on the 3rd December.

I am now the extremely proud owner of a DB9, she is everything I wished for and bite the back of your hand beautiful.

They say you should never meet your heroes as they can be flawed, but I can honestly say that she has lived up to my dream in every way.

Both sons are just waiting for the day when I consider them suitable candidates for the driving seat, until then she remains for me and me only! pics to follow.

Nice car. smile

As a farmer, I'm sure you'll be using the massive boot to transport animals around the farm, and of course the superior off road traction of the DB9, not to mention of course the bril towing ability .........

Hey if I owned a farm I still have one ...... biggrin
smile yes your quite right it is of no good at all on the farm, but this one is for me and just me........ though sons seem to think thy will drive it one day!!!
Ever since seeing gold finger at the flicks i fell in love with all things Aston martin, i am sure this story rings true with a awful lot of people. smile

ps thanks for all of your kind words

I have not lost anyone recently, but a lot of ill health in the family made me think, it was ok getting a diesel Freelander to run about in, but what happened if anything happened and I only every dream't of getting a dream car ....... frown ..... that just could not happen, so I introduced the 9 to the family ..... smile put a smile on my face, and guess what Cowman ...!!!!

There is not a day that goes by, that I don't smile when the old girl fires up ..... biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

For the very reason that inspired you to buy the 9, MAKE SURE YOU DRIVE IT. Please please please don't park it and drive it every now and then.

(PS throw away fuse 22 in the boot, you really won't be needing that .... wink )
well despite it being awful weather here i have doe about 250 miles in her in less than a week, and i know what you mean maverick, every time you push that button you get the grin factor kicking in)
And es i have taken fuse 22 out lol it does make her roar smile
