Aston Martin reliability

Just having a fb "discussion" on AM reliability.
His statement-
"Beautiful to look at, a bloody nightmare to live with everyday..."
Naturally I opposed this!
I said that yes the older cars from the 90's had reliability issues.
But today's cars (the Gaydon group of vehicles) are very reliable, and certainly very easy to live with. As long as you look after your car (servicing and maintenance) then it's no different from any other prestige marque.
Having owned 2 different Astons I feel my experience on this matter is sound.
Any one else agree/disagree?
