Showroom launch event
Discussion
I know its not strictly the right place to post this but wanted to avoid General Gassing really.
I have had a few cancellations for our F-Type showroom launch on Thursday evening so was wondering if anyone in here fancied coming along to see what all the fuss is about....?
We are based in West London on the A40.
If interested please drop me a line through my profile.
Cheers

yes please. How fast can you get an F Type down the A40 without being flashed. . Winner gets a new car!
I know exactly where all the speed cameras are after having driven it 2-3 times a day for 4 years. Bring it on.You need to hear it trough Hanger lane tunnel.....
I drew the short straw and had to take one to have a tracker fitted last Friday. I got lost. ended up in the tunnel with the "loud button" pressed. ooops
Drop me a line if you haven't already and would like to come.

There won't be many people going down to an F Type from an Aston though will there?
Please, come and give one a go. It is certainly not "going down" from say a 4.3 V8 Vantage.Might be a bit of a stretch to get someone out of a DBS I admit
Having come from an independant dealership selling Astons, Lambos, Ferraris, Mclarens, Porsches etc etc I really am shocked at just how good it is to drive and just want to get as many people in to give it a go as possible. It is a whole new customer which is being aimed at for the first time in years.
Anyone who steps out of that car without a grin is dead inside.
Well, I wasn't expecting this to turn into a Jaguar v Aston argument. Just wanted to give genuine petrol heads the opportunity to come to what should be a good do and hopefully appreciate the work which has gone into this car by another historic British brand.
If you like what you see, take one for a spin. If you don't, then you you can remain happy in your equally gorgeous Aston Martin. (Yes, I can admit to liking other brands too in fact, my father in law has a California Sage DB9 and it is lovely)
Not expecting to have to do a raft of Aston Martin appraisals on the evening!

Oh we lover a good bit of banter in here My father in law has a California Sage DB9 and it is lovely)
Lovely colour that DB9!
No double breasted blazer here by the way guys I am very much "new Jaguar" (my XF 3.0 is white with big wheels and top spec Meridian Surround Sound system, not BRG with tan! No driving gloves, no tartan rug, no box of tissues on parcel shelf
etc etc)
Okaaaay, in answer to the points i can remember....
Definitely not Cheshire, more West Yorkshire and subsequently wound up in West London.
Why not do something a bit different with a car which i effectively just rent and get to change at least every 6 months? Hell, i might even do the green / cream / burr walnut thing next just for the reaction i would get from the missus / mates

The bottom line here is this...........you are out in your Aston and a Jag driver is beside you or near you.
You know for a fact he desires your Aston more than you desire the Jag.
Anyway I don't like Gin & Tonic and the last time I had a blazer was my first day at school, so that rules me out of the F-Type
The point is that they are trying to get back to their roots with desireable cars. C-Type, D-Type, E-Type, XK120 / 140 / 150 etc. Le Mans domination etc. the history is there. They just had a few dodgy years which need sweeping under the carpet. You know for a fact he desires your Aston more than you desire the Jag.
