During a frenzied tour of Scotland last week, my 2009 4.7 Vantage appears to have picked up a very occasional hesitation.

It is very infrequent - just once / day! Usually happens when the car has been driving along at a constant gentle speed for a while (ie warming it up in the morning) and then when I apply more throttle, the car begins to accelerate, then hesitates heavily, enough to cause to feel alarmed, but by the time your body is ready to react, it is accelerating cleanly again.

As I say, it then doesn't repeat itself for the rest of the day while the car is warmed up. It feels like the fuel cuts out for a split second?

I had a thought that it might have been caused by some poor quality fuel at the tip of Scotland so have filled it with a couple of tanks of premium super unleaded since but the hesitation was there again (once) last night when I took the car out for a run.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Marc

Thanks everyone - that's an unexpected set of similar experiences?!

Ok well I'll email the dealer and ask if they know anything or can investigate under warranty. I'll post the results if they come up with anything.
