For anyone interested in shaving a significant chunk off the standard '£600 per axle' prices, part numbers and suppliers I've found below;

Front
Brembo OEM discs, 09.8780.21 - price per pair (yes, per pair) £154.42 - motordoctor.co.uk
Pads - Textar 2021703 - (full set of pads including slot for wear sensors) £100.90 - mister-auto.co.uk

TOTAL Front Axle price £255.32

Rear
Brembo OEM discs - 09.8781.21 - price per pair (yes, per pair) £154.42 - motordoctor.co.uk (same price as fronts)
Pads - Textar 2016501 - (full set of pads including slot for wear sensors) £113.90 - mister-auto.co.uk

TOTAL Rear Axle price - £268.32

TOTAL PRICE for full set discs and pads £523.64 (including VAT and shipping in the UK)

A lot of these parts are interchangeable with certain DB9's too.

Hope this helps someone

Motor doctor have some poor reviews online. Looks like they’re based in Germany but are pretending to be a UK supplier.
Many thanks, that's useful to know - they aren't alone in having those prices for discs, so I'll update when I have a moment.

@Ant.
I bought discs from autodoc, and they arrived within the time they quoted, (7 days)

I also bought Textar pads which to me, seem far superior to whatever pads have been fitted previously. (I don't know what was fitted previously, but the textar pads seem very high grip and very low dust.

@Pericoloso
You mention warping here for some reason. If you read this thread, you will note that these are Brembo discs, exactly the same discs as your Aston Martin dealer will purchase, (literally identical) but without the 100% markup. Like every other car manufacturer, Aston Martin don't make brake discs - a little research will show you the part numbers involved, and then you can buy direct, cutting out the middlman, or middlemen. So, to clarify, they aren't 'cheap parts' and autodoc appear to be perfectly reputable.

Glad to hear that the information is proving useful to people

I have recently ordered a full set of discs and pads, and I may have found a very inexpensive replacement for the front pads. I will report back when they are successfully fitted and I've had a chance to do some stopping.

As promised, I've now had the wonderful team up at Beamish fit my discs pads etc.

These are the pads I went for, for the front discs...

So far they are an absolute delight. I can't comment on them at the limit, as I have no talent and therefore never approach it. However, they stop the car extremely well and seem to be low dust

Rancid,

Thanks for posting. An update on longevity would be good, do they take the wear sensors?

Sean
They do indeed come with new wear sensors, the chaps up at Beamish mentioned they were fractionally different from the official Aston ones either in terms of placement or sensor itself, but obviously nothing that stopped them fitting them correctly.

Yes, I'll let you know how I get on with them in this thread. I can't imagine they will be any different to either textar, brembo pagid etc. The front pads for a lot of Astons are compatible with pads from VW Tourag, Seat Leon Cupra and Audi TT RS.

Unfortunately the rear pads don't seem to be shared with anything and so it seems virtualy impossible to get alternatives to those, although I am still trying a few avenues.

Pretty sure Motor Doctor, and a few other sites are still Autodoc behind the scenes.

Re: weight of the discs, I was equally surprised at how heavy they are. Especially as the courier who delivered them was an absolute man-mountain. When he effortlessly handed both pairs + pads to me, I got quite the shock, as did my legs, knees and back.

As an update, the front pads I bought (Stark) are still excellent, so well worth the savings from my point of view.

The autodoc prices change daily with between 12 and 25% off every day. If you install the mobile app, it tells you each day what the daily sale is!

Good to hear as after your recommendation I went with them as well, thanks.
That's great - did you fit them yourself or have them fitted? Either way did you (or a mechanic) have any issues with the sensors?

My guys mentioned they were fractionally different, but still fitted perfectly, they didn't elaborate on how or why they were different
