I have got a minor dent in the horizontal protruding edge that runs across the whole length of the right hand side door – caused by the door edge of a DB 7 at least, but that doesn´t really make me feel better.frown

The dent is so small and the paintwork reflexion so strong that I am unable to take a good photo of it. Here are the relatively best pictures I managed to take – the dent is very hard to identify, sorry, but is located about in the middle of the first two pics:

The garage where the car is stored had someone from a (allegedly reputable) bodyshop look at the damage. The garage told me today, this guy said it would be impossible to push back the dent by paintless dent removal and the door would need to be repainted if the dent was to disappear. Now this guy knows nothing about Aston Martins in particular and I wonder if this can be right.

So who can give me hope that this dent CAN be pushed back (to achieve at least an improvement, if not 100%)?
Is this area accessible from the inside after the door card - and who knows what else - has been taken off?

Thank you, Peter. Indeed very bad news. Admittedly it looks like nothing in the pictures. But I know it is there and in reality it IS visible.

Were you told why it isn´t possible? No access from the inside? I just can´t get it into my head why this should be impossible.

A correction and repaint from the outside is of course totally out of the question for me.

Here is a generic pictue of the inside of a Vantage door:

The dent is approximately in the middle of the door crease. Could a hole be drilled to get access? I haven´t got feedback yet from my dealer.
Is the grey trim behind the side impact protection metal or just insulation?
