To PPF or not to PPF
Discussion
Never used it on the many Porsche cars I have owned over the last 40 odd years but feel now might be the time to revaluate due to the improved quality and effectiveness of modern film.
My DB11 has film on the front of the rear aches (I believe this was from the factory)?
I’m not looking to cover the whole car just the most vulnerable areas including the headlights.
I’m in North Essex and would appreciate your thoughts, good and not so good, also any recommendations re installers.
Thanks

I have been given the choice of having the bonnet covered in one or three pieces.
The only benefit I can see, of any note, is with the three pieces if I have a minor scuff the whole clamshell won’t have to be replaced. The obvious down side is the joints which the installer assures me would be virtually invisible?? The car will be fully ceramic coated after installation.
I could leave the bonnet unprotected and just do the lower front, sides and rear?
My car had 10k on the clock with no noticeable marks on the bonnet so is protection in that area really worth it?
I’d love to hear from other DB11 owners who don’t have protection on the bonnet how that’s working out for them?

This YouTube video illustrates some of the reasons why you shouldn’t have PPF installed on your vehicle.
I found it very informative and persuasive, what you think.
