I'm considering an ECU re-map for the Vantage.
Currently have the AM Power Upgrade and sports cats fitted.

Anyone had any work like this done?

Have only found two places which offer this type of work ; Paramount Performance and Torque Developments International.
(Prodrive also do some ECU fettling on their performace package but I reckon the AM version also does a certain amount of recalibration ?)

Gains of up to 35bhp are advertised.
Would be interested in any relevant feedback on the topic....

sounds to me like you should sell your Aston and go buy a Nissan Skyline or Japanese import with one of those big exhausts..........or you could just leave the Aston alone and be happy with your fantastic car smile

Thanks Michael!

You'll be happy to know I had a GT-R on order but decided on a 2nd hand V8V instead.
Quick as the "legend" is (I had a test drive) it's got about as much charm as a plate of tripe.
And it's truly enormous... and it's pig ugly... and the interior is bland... and the list goes on...

Leaving the Aston alone isn't an option if I can make it a bit quicker.
Crikey, who WOULDN'T want that !??

Anyway my best advise as previous, is flog the the V8V and get yourself a DB9 with a proper engine blah
Or even trade it for a quick car like a 4.7 Vantage?

Well I'm afraid I'm at the, er, lower end of the disposable income ladder.
Justifying a smidge over £50k was just about do-able with provision for another £5k on squeezing the extra performance from the car..
When I bought her a 4.7 was mid £70's. I simply didn't have another £20k (that I could borrow!).

Getting 90+% (?) of the "feelgood" factor of a 4.7 from a tweaked 4.3 (still) seems a pretty good decision...
