My car was serviced last month. The light came on before the service, together with the message and the lambda sensor was replaced as part of the service.

In the last week, the orange engine light started to come on when I accelerated reasonably hard, but would go away again after a few minutes. Over the weekend, the orange engine light became permanent and hard acceleration results now in the red warning triangle and a message to "drive slow".

The car feels absolutely fine. I'm going to take it in again, but is there any reason to be concerned about it for the rest of the week?

Thanks. It may be the change of driving style, given that I had been driving in London traffic for a few weeks and then had a few longer trips with some B road blasts.

Funnily enough, my M5 did something similar last month in similar circumstances.

I'll check out the OBD reader.

Thanks, as ever, Rick.

I've ordered one of these OBD checkers and will see what it tells me. I'll post the code for advice if that's OK.

Wish I lived closer to Derby!
