A text message that _Al_ just sent me said:

Had a bloke talking to me while I filled up. He was amazed of my claim of a sub 6sec 0 - 60. His 1.2 Corsa takes 6 seconds and mine can't be that much faster!

hehe

Maybe he know's about Al's car's reliability...

Upon seeing the white subwoofer in the boot of my car a friends mum said 'how handy, a small sink'

I'm constantly amazed at how many nitwits hear stuff like 'twincam turbo' or 'twin-entry turbo' and assume it means the car is in fact a twin turbo, and of course since they are that stupid they assume one turbo = faster, two turbos = twice as fast and hold on to the belief no matter how much you try to correct them hehe.

An intruder from the TVR camp, I think this thread's hilarious!

Here are my contributions:

At a Motor Factors: 'Nice car mate - Chimaera isn't it?'

and

Mate at work: 'Your Griff's got the Rover engine hasn't it? They get a lot of power out of that K-series don't they?'

If you mean I'm the TVR intruder then hello, I also own an MR2(for 8 years) aswell as my TVR. Does that qualify me to be on the Jap forum aswell as the TVR forumshootshoot

I had a bloke step out of his Porsche, walk over to my MR2 & told me what a great looking MX5 I had. Dipstick! Owning a Porsche, you would of thought he would have some idea on the car front wouldn't you. Unless it wasn't his, & he had borrowed it for the day! hehe

Also had the comment, well where's the boot. (Well there isn't one)rolleyes

"i know i dont have a TURBO what im asking is will an fmic cool down the outside air going into the engine any better than a cold feed pipe or does it only work with the compressed air from a turbo ??? does the turbo force air through the fmic to be cooled down before going into the engine?so i assume one end of the pipe is on the turbo goes through the fmic then into the engine is that right."

I've had that before aswell, I didn't have the strength to explain

Without the Turbo, would it not creat more resistence getting the air into the engine, thus being a drain on hp? You can use NOS in small quantities as a cooling agent, rather than as a temporary increase in artificial displacement
