It's a Rev 4 - Rev 5 got a different spoiler and the instrument cluster markers are red on the dials, not white.Looks like it needs to be detailed or at least a deep clean

No standard interior and dials as per picture.
Also how do you know if its a genuine sonic shadow, the V5 does not say sonic shadow on it![](http://thumbsnap.com/sc/OjZjUsIN.jpg)
I think it is a sonic shadow - it is the factory optional extra paint job. Also how do you know if its a genuine sonic shadow, the V5 does not say sonic shadow on it

Noticed you have air-con as well - essential in tin-top!
Toyota's air-con in the 90s were just the best - much colder than the other Japanese brands and I find it too cold sometimes even in the ECON mode.

Well noticed, yup it does have Air con but it could do with a regas.Noticed you have air-con as well - essential in tin-top!

Also has a factory fitted CD player along with the toyota cassete player, its strange to think a CD player was an optional extra at some stage
Its up on the classifieds and also on ebay now

I cleaned it sat morning as i had a chap from France coming over to view it, we did the deal and he drove it away, this is a pic of it clean. Probably not up to the usual detailing standard of some on hereLooks like it needs to be detailed or at least a deep clean

I bought a mk2 rev 4 about 4 month ago, great car loving it. Its got aftermarket back box with twin tailpipes but one of the tail pipes has fallen off/stolen I'm just wondering if anybody knows where I'd get a replacement? Also one of my back brakes is sticking possibly the handbrake as when I pull it I hear a funny noise, any ideas?

All MR2's use the same rear caliper design, which is known for sticking / binding, more so after winter use, which causes the hand brake mechanism to stick, or corrosion on the piston, again causing sticking / dragging. Best to remove the handbrake cables to check for free movement (they can corrode internally and stick also) and check how freely the handbrake mechanism works also. Prob best getiing a couple of refurbished rear calipers.Gassing Station | Japanese Chat | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
