looks great, what did you pay if I may ask ?
£3300.

I’ll pop up a readers ride thread later today. Off to collect it shortly.

I do like these, even now they just look so fresh, they just don't age, and they seem to give great value for money, likely due to the potential and expensive problems.

I reckon if VED was more reasonable on these and 350/370z's they would be hugely popular.

Good on you though.
I will never understand people getting hung up on an extra £300 on cars that drink fuel and burn rubber. If that's a problem you can't afford to run one anyway.

Mine was £600 a year frown

Which just seemed daft as it was more than the insurance. It was also my daily and on a 7 mile commute (ie 14 miles a day), using a gallon of petrol did seem a mite bit extravagant even for me.

End of the day, I have a 3.2 Carrera for fun and an RX8 was 'almost' perfect as a daily but the expense of that engine was just a little too much. As a fun car it would have been perfect but the garage was already occupied.

Glad I owned one for a while though. Dark blue with cream leather interior, with satnav. Really really nice looking car.

One point though, MPG got better the more you thrashed it. It hated slow speeds & low revs

Always remember, every day, hit the beeps (keeps the tips & ports clear)

The only small (first world problems) issue I have with the tax. Is that my Mazda 3 MPS is also ~£560 a year, my R3 RX8 is now £600. I just wish you got a small discount if you run a few top tax bracket cars laugh

You don't think it's disproportionate to pay £600 a year for a 200bhp car?!

It is when my 1989 3.2 Carrera is under £300 and in a few years it might even be free.

Rotarys should be given honorary classic status. We should be rewarded for keeping them running! Not many people are crazy enough too.

Yeah but I've already paid an even more disproportionate amount on insurance so paying a flat rate seems like a steal afterwards.
I don't think I'll be on my deathbed wishing I'd saved £300 instead of owning a 350z.

I would still fit a sohn adapter if I had one again.

Is semi the word on the street now? Easier to get hold of I suppose. Deffo never fully synth though. I like a bit of early Human League but I'd like my rotary to last even longer....

Why not ?

Fit an adapter and you can use whatever oil you want in the sump.
