That's not too far a stretch. It is pretty much the latest generation Skyline (in Japan) with a sleek body and a few mods.

But a low-volume sports car built on a dedicated platform was out of the question considering Nissan's dire straits. So Nissan took a page out of Ford's book and spun the 350Z off its all-new Skyline sedan (Infiniti G35 in the U.S.).

.. and the Laxxers truly believe - so it seems - that any kind of excessive, tacky bodykit will instinctively make their car grip and handle better simply because it must generate downforce
In a roundabout way they are correct on the downforce - because their flippin Corsa/Nova/Saxo now weighs about 20% more! Doesn't do much for the acceleration though. Still, a K&N filter should sort that out - good for at least another 50bhp.

I fully suspect that a Jap 4wd turbo wagon is the fastest way down a bit of wet twisty B road.

I also fully supect you'd have more fun just getting into a Lambo.......

Said to me by a friend on seeing my 6 month-old Corrado VR6 (obviously this was several years ago )

Gesturing to my Corrado and then to his old Scirocco GLX

"Ah - I see we each have the performance VWs of their generation".

and

"Look how much more money you've had to pay for something only slightly better".

Yeah. Whatever.

I can’t think of a specific chav comment that highlights their years of motoring education, appreciation and understanding ...

However, I can remember seeing a thread doing the car forum rounds a while back where some clever lad posted a picture of his brake discs……. which he had just sprayed with primer, and was asking what colour would look best

-red and yellow I think were the most popular answers

She said 'awww, your steering wheel says mama'

Classic one down the pub the other day.

Basically, I have a mate who refuses to buy cars that are anything other than brand spanking new, despite the fact that he hasn't got a proper job yet and he bought the last one (a Corsa) with a student loan .

Him: "I've always wanted an Aston Martin, of course, but they're over £100k"

Me: "Not all of them. You can get DBSs for £15k, and DB7s are £25-30k these days"

Him: "Yeah, but second hand cars are old and fall apart and break down and you end up spending more than the price of a new one keeping them on the road."

Hmm. So a car handbuilt meticulously by the world's best automotive craftsmen is going to cost £75k to put back together again the minute the first owner sells it?

I'm just relishing the day when we both have £25k to spend on cars, and I get an Aston and he gets a brand new Vectra, then tries to tell me his is better

Some 'child racer' at a mate's work was, in all seriousness, announcing how his 1.3 (non-turbo) Toyota Starlet would trounce Mate's MR2. This probably developed because child racer had no doubt outdragged his girly mates' 1.0 Micras with 500 kilos of bodykit glued on down Maccy D's carpark. Anyway, one lunchtime he was installed in the passenger seat of the MR2 (I can't honestly remember if it was my mate's trackday-prepped MK1 or his MRT). Either way, child-racer was subjected to 10 minutes of rev-limiter brake-pads-on-fire mentalist driving, after which he never mentioned his Granny-Car again...
