2004 WRX, £7k to spend on tuning...but what?

here's an ilustration of the diference between a straight cut gear and a helical gear on a Subaru box.

The gears on the left are straight cut 1st to 4th from MRT, the gear on the right is a stock 5th helical. The bronze items are the syncromesh hubs.
