MR2 owners - How many have you owned?

I'm still on my first MR2. It was our one year anniversary at the weekend and we had a great adventure to celebrate. But, what to get it as a present? It runs perfectly and needs nothing. So maybe another tank of petrol will do :-)
I absolutely love this thing. I haven't changed anything cosmetically since buying it a year ago. I do have a list of changes I would like to make. However, I have found myself happy with the way the car is at the moment and keep splashing out on maintenance instead (which of course is the right thing to do).
I will change the wheels one day. Hmmm, maybe this could be the anniversary present? Any recommendations on wheel choice? I do like what Danlama had on his steel mist rev 2...

They would look great, you'd need new tyres though.

Indeed it did. Know anything of its history? I remember seeing your car advertised by the seller. He does seen to have particularly nice cars for sale.
Would you say your car was as described?
I've always found his descriptions a bit too good and I noticed that he c&p's a lot of the descriptive text from sale to sale.
That said, his feedback rating is very high and you, for example, seem happy with your car.

The car was definitely as described. When I collected the car the guy had six (!) MR2's in total at his house. Clearly an enthusiast and I'm still not sure why you need that many. Anyway. He seemed open and honest and the car came with lot's of receipts.I remember seeing your car advertised by the seller. He does seen to have particularly nice cars for sale.

However, there was one issue. The car came with 12 months MOT and my father did the viewing / inspection / deposit for me due to the location of the car. All was well until this year's MOT, where I had a rather serious failure which cost a fair chunk to put right.
I've got a very good relationship with my mechanic, who advised me there was no way the issue happened during my ownership (it's a summer, dry day car and doesn't get used in the wet or the winter) and it clearly had a dud MOT put on it the year before for the sale.
To summarise, descriptions are good and accurate but I would suggest buyer beware as always.

Another nice set of wheels.
Tyres are a bit crap though. Would be worth messaging the seller and asking if they are on coilovers or stock suspension struts - 215/45R17 will be *very* close to the stock spring perch, usually people fit 215/40R17 on the front.

Lovely mate, i miss my smg so much. That car was mint. New shoes are always a good idea. I had enkei rs01 on mine, perfect fitment, but they are so so hard to find in the right sizes for our cars.I absolutely love this thing. The NS2 that sonic linked to are the same as mine now, but annoyingly in much better condition for only 100 more than i paid. Here's how they look although i'm sure you've seen them on instagram or my thread:

I'm having ideas about moving on from mr2's for a while but not decided yet. May put it through the MOT first at the end of July.
I reckon most dealers/high volume sellers have a guy just issue dodgy mot's, otherwise they'd never make any money.

Been a while since my last MR2, so bought another one last night, Rev 4 in black. My first t Bar those, all previous ones have had a moon roof.
Seals around the T Bar look good, so hope its not leaking.
Has a few things that need to be done, alloys are the worst i have ever seen so will need to be refurbed, lots of vibration through the steering wheel between about 50-70, seems to go away at 80, expect its balancing.
Foglight on driver side is broken, probably a stone hitting it, electric arial does not work, gear gator is ripped, and worse of all, no bloody locking wheel nut.
Will post some pictures in a few days
