Any zc32 Suzuki swift sport users?
Discussion
I have been driving my mothers car for a couple of weeks, it's a 2016 Swift Sport with 10,000 miles, she bought it new and unfortunately will never drive again so it will have to go.
I have to say it is as good as all the reviews said, it goes where you point it and is great fun without being a "fast" car that flows really nicely.

Found some B6s here for a much better price and had some stock so delivery is today only had to wait 6 days from order.

Have you fitted the B6s yet? If so, how are you finding them?https://www.bilsteinsuspensionstore.co.uk/bilstein...
So update on B6s, only fitted the fronts so far but the improvements over the B4s I removed is significant, night and day in my view, ride is better, damping much better, steering has more feel and handling is just totally different, don’t waste your money on B4s unless you want some lightly used ones as I have some for sale 😀

Thanks for the update. I briefly spoke to Chris at CTC yesterday who recommended the B6 for those who didn't want a coilover option so this may be the route I take, too. UnderSteerD said:

That's good info. Does anyone know how the B6 compares to the OEM Sport damper though?
I don't think we'll find a like-for-like comparison. I don't think anyone will replace an OEM damper with a B6 unless the OEM damper has failed or is heavily worn, and any sort of replacement is likely to be favourable over a failed damper.
I've just fitted a Bilstein B12 kit to my Swift (B8 front, B6 rear and Eibach Pro springs). I fitted adjustable camber bolts at the same time.
My initial impressions are that it's appreciably firmer than standard, but not uncomfortable or crashy. The car appears to roll less in the corners and the steering feels great, although I've only driven a handful of miles since I fitted them.
My experience of Bilsteins is that they tend to soften up with a few miles on them, so I'll report back in the near future once they've settled and I've had the toe and camber set up.

The appearance of cable ties can only mean one thing…

Bit of investigation, found this https://cuztoms.co.uk/products/gear-linkage-bushin...
15 mins to fit, mostly spent fiddling around removing trim, all sorted.
I am about to order these…were you happy with yours?15 mins to fit, mostly spent fiddling around removing trim, all sorted.

I've had them for a few years. No problems and easy to fit. Expensive for what they are especially as you'll almost certainly need two as there is an identical bush on the gearbox end. You'll see it looking behind the battery on top of the gearbox. In many ways its easier to change than the cabin one which needs trim removal.B*gger

As you say, expensive, but cheaper than all the other options and gears are pretty essential
Fitted my bush from Cuztoms over the weekend, was really straightforward and feels like it will last a long time.
If you haven’t done yours yet then get it done, wish I had taken five minutes previously to bother before I was left in a compromising position.
ETA: anyone have a suggestion of a good independent to work on SSS’s in the Northampton/Milton Keynes area? I am approaching 100k in mine and feel like it needs a bit of refreshing - any recommendations as CTC is too far away.

Hey folks,
Just joined the SSS club myself with a 3 door ZC32 from 2016 with 37k miles.
Many of you will notice the tell tale Copart markings from the windscreen.
It’s a cat N ‘runs and drives’ car with an owie to the near side rear wheel. It was a shade under £3k once all the copart fees were added to the £2.6k win price.
I thought it need a new rear axle, rear shocks, rear wheel liner and an alloy wheel. Got all those parts for £450 from eBay breakers (except the shocks which were new).
On arrival I found that the passenger seat airbag had deployed (not visible from the copart pictures) so a used passenger seat was bought for £125. I’ll also need to source somewhere to reset the airbag crash sensor as currently the seatbelts are locked…might try an use that as an excuse to buy a bi-directional OBD2 computer
On arrival I also found the manual and service book which shows a full Suzuki service history, so happy days. I’d already checked the mot history before buying and it only had a couple of advisories through the years, so I figure it was well cared for.
Plan is for it to be a trackday car, so I’ll bash the bodywork a bit straighter and live with the scrapes.
I’m waiting for some of the repair parts to be delivered, and I can’t wait to get it out on the road.
Cheers
Andy

I bought a 2014 Swift Sport at the beginning of August. Great condition, 50,000, and even came with it's own fitted cover! It had the gear linkage cables replaced couple months before hand ( common problem) and a comprehensive service history, including gear box oil.
I had been looking for something like a BMW M140i but, as they still seemed to be overpriced ( getting a little better now), i thought, as a stopgap, i would try a Swift Sport.
To begin with, on the drive back, i did think it may not be right for me, as my brother was able to stay with me in a sprint from 30-90 ish, in my Ford Galaxy 2.0TDCI leisure/tip run car that he was driving back for me! Things did change though when we hit the lanes instead of the A303!
I have had a few decent drives in it now and really rather like it! Today, i took it over Exmoor, and it was absolutely brilliant over those twisty/bumpy moorland roads- i had an absolute riot driving it! The Toyo TR1's seem pretty good and the MTec discs got some heat in them today, for sure! I even enjoy wringing it out now and it just feels so right and light on its feet- just like an 80's/early 90's hot hatch .
The last car i drove at speed over these roads was a Z4 Coupe, a couple years back, and even though that had uprated suspension/allignment, not as much fun as the Swift.
Very pleased with it.

Does anyone have any experience replacing the headlight ballast? I have a flickering N/S headlight and I'm guessing its the ballast, it could just be the lamp but it might not be.
35261-50MA0 is the Suzuki part number and the OEM manufacturer is Panasonic but they are over £500 from Suzuki. From my brief research it looks like a fairly common part shared with other Japanese manufacturers and they are available from Shenzhen on eBay for less than £25 but it might be terrible.
This is the OEM part from Suzuki
And an ebay special for £30
Has anyone found a medium ground where there's a decent OEM manufactured part from a recognised supplier?
