Yup its camp@C.Coombe,well spotted mate, that bit of wall (that & quarry corner)sees a fair bit o' bent metal action!
To be brutally honest-whilst brill fun,a skyline isnt really the best track weapon, too big & heavy.Still with all that charisma(imo)who cares?Give 'em long sweeping bends tho-& you will be eating dust-
The 'garage' have promised it back tomorrow-Fri,if it comes back, its off for full tracking setup etc straightaway-I'm taking it elsewhere for that. But we'll see-they only have a drop-link & indicators(alledgedly)to do
ps I better move over to'liner banged up'saga thread.

If I have learned one thing in my life, its never believe the repair shop. When I had a front ender in my Saxo (yes, yes I know) they said it would be 4-6 days (they said that when they had had it for 3 days!), but 2 whole weeks later, "It'll be tomorrow mate" every day for another week.
Obviously though, I hope you do get it back tomorrow, cos if I had a skyline, I wouldn't wanna be without it too long. Not without developing some form of twitch.

Thanks mate, this ones been in the clutches of insurance assesor/engineer & garage since mid August-Its been an absolute esp as this garage have done a lot of jobs(all good too) for me over the last few years. But I went down yesterday & had a rant-real blue faced! -seemed to work
Still,...not holding my breath
Still,...not holding my breath
Now that is something I didn't want to see/hear.
BTW, I must thank everyone for all the hints and advice, it has been very useful.
I phoned the seller, and asked him if there was anything I should know, and if the car had whining rear diff, or smokey engine etc, and he said it was fine. So on the grounds its as good as he says it is, I'll be having it. I've also sorted my insurance & HPi, its just a question of getting there. My mate offered to drive in his UR Audi Quattro, but 300 mile round trip at 20mpg of optimax, wouldn't really be worth it.
I think I will have to drive down in my Flaming Pidgeon (MK1 MR2), and he can try to keep up with me in the GT4 on the way back!!

JonRB read your long version, nasty smash. All happens so quick, can identify with the grass hissing past your face at speed. But considering what happened to the car during the accident, it did stand up very well to multiple impacts & is a testament to its build quality.
Hey & you got a Corrado out of it

The Celica ST-185 is very crashworthy, I believe.
(A temporary lapse of judgement on my part, I'm afraid. )
Ouch.
My friend managed to get a silver ST205 from the M32 feed lane to the fast lane of the M4 coming the other way without touching the bit in the middle. Not his fault, but that hardly matters when you're 5 feet off the ground at 60mph upside down watching the road flash past in front of you.
He walked away. The car was scarcely recognisable.
