RX7 verses TVR Chimaera 500

Hi guys,
I cannot lie, I've got a TVR Chim 500, my friend has got the RX7 he has laid down a challenge with his RX - 1/4 mile at Santa Pod (RWYB).

He hasn't had any mods done to the RX, but I know its recently been tuned and rolling roaded etc (he was putting out 235bhp at the wheels - don't know about torque!!)

I had a new cam in my Chim last year (just a normal cam) and my car runs nice but I've got no idea what sort of bhp I would be putting out.

Question is who would you put your money on?

I put the same question on the TVR forum and most favour the TVR (not surprisingly) so I thought I'd ask the Jap guys!

Thnx for your replies guys.
I'm certainly not entering into the Jap cr*p debate.
As a TVR owner, I will say: you have to be an enthusiast to own a TVR and you don't buy it for the build quality But all said and done I wouldn't swap it.

However, I'm going to get my tiv tuned to make sure its running properly and then we're going to fix up a date to race. I'll let you know how we get on
