Hi guys...
Well it looks like my days of driving a manual car are coming to an end...and I am resigned to the fact that my silly turbo charged MX-5 is going to have to become part of my motoring history.
Thus I have been on a quest the past few days looking at Mitsu FTOs, I have always had a soft spot for them, and in a standard form one would be ideal for my daily commute.
Now driving a VERY (100% power increase) modified car I was thinking that I may cut a break on the insurance for one of these bad boys. My current policy is 1k a year with a 65% NCB, 3 points, good post code at an age of 29.
I was looking for quotes on a 2.0 GPX, no mods, value 5k...Aon said £1400....Flux £1000.....the best so far is £650 with Tesco, but I would need a tracker insatlled.
The question is.....Why? Really..why? Are they that high a risk motor car? I am going to continue to shop around, but £1400 for a 2l tin top?? Jesus!

Why are you floging the MX5?
I have an injury to my left arm meaning I have less and less mobility as I get into my more advanced years....
Recently it has got quite bad, including a stint in hospital which was blamed on a bad days commuting to and from London.
So an automatic is way forward. Being a "jap-o-phile" I wanted to stay loyal.....that and I wouldn't mind a boot for a change.
