for my mini project i'll be using throttle bodies as the standard inlet doesnt fit, which TB's should i use?
i'll probably have a custom exhaust made up to suit.
which companies induction kits give greatest results on type R engines?
my friend has a 2.2 vtec prelude and he says that 'underdrive pulleys' will allow the engine to pick up quicker.
i wont be using things like air con pump (if they have one) or any 'luxury' parts! so that may free up some power and save on weight!

is it worth lightening and balancing or is the type R lump already in good enough tune that its not worth the hassle?

i want out and out quickness from this mini but ideally still be good in traffic!

any info greatly appreciated.

www.btinternet.com/~honda.mini/hybrids/VTEC/Watsons.htm

u can buy a modded k series metro front subframe that the vtec lumps fit into - the only downside to k series is that 14" wheels have to be used and spacers put on rear to match the widened track on front. i will be fully prepping a clubman shell and am going to be seam welding along seams where original spot welds are, i am thinking along the lines of a weld in 6 point rollcage as well - i dont want to tear the 'lil blighter in two!

theres a type r mini cooper that goes to southend seafront occasionally and was recently featured in CCC magazine, there are more about than you'd think but a lot of these have been £10k watsons jobbies - i dont want to pay some1 else to do the conversion, i'd know my car better by doing all the work myself and it would give me the ultimate smile factor to complete it for a fair bit less than £10k whilst being built to a high spec still.

any suggestions on what to do about dials i assume the vtec's use electronic speedo senders, would a honda prelude dialset be compatible with integra engine sensors?

p.s. i cant access honda R @ work

cheers
