Thanks guys, it all seems pretty solid, only a tiny spot of rust in the 'well' behind the rear tyre - the wheel arches are rock solid
The engine was a bit sooted up, as it was previously owned by a middle-aged lady, but a couple of good thrashes up to the redline cleaned the plugs up a treat.
The handling is fantastic, it feels like a go-kart after the skyline, and very nimble.
No major plans, just tidy it up, maybe fit a decent stereo and enjoy!

cool! welcome to the MK1 clan
I like the old MK1a's with the colour coded seats etc. We had great fun last weekend chucking 2 of our MK1's (NA & SC) around Mallory on track. They are fun round corners
PS: get along to some MK1 events (www.mr2mk1club.com)(www.imoc.co.uk as i organise quite a few different sorts of stuff for mk1'ers
enjoy

Thanks Jo, I like the orange one in your profile, very tasty! Not much chance of me getting along to any UK meets though, as I've emigrated down under! Ta for the invite though
