Very nice, I really do like the colour.

If you haven’t already, give your inner wing leaf catchment drain holes a check, ensure they aren’t blocked. Also check beneath the micro filter housing.. when I checked my driver side, I was shocked to find 2 inches of water swilling around like a small goldfish tank. Worryingly it was just beneath a major wiring loom that passes through the bulkhead. I removed the rubber grommet found at the bottom permanently.

I'm not surprised as I'm currently on my 4th BMW with the N52 engine (E91 325i, 2 x E86 and current E90 330i) and none of them had a manual dip-stick, so I suspect that engine never had one in any application.

It may be related to the magnesium/alloy block they used for the N52 because anything attached to it uses single-use aluminium bolts to avoid any differential thermal expansion issues - they are great engines though.

Took the car for a spin last night to test out the xenons (very nice) and the Logic7 Hifi - remarkably good. Also just need time to get used to the iDrive. It works ok, but is a bit clunky. I know the newer iterations are quicker and more intuitive.

Car seems almost too nice to take to work. Plus the fact that the baby seat with isofix base can fit in the back means my wife it more likely to steal it. biggrin

plenty of space for a child seat!! We drove to Southampton yesterday from Bristol with my two, 14 and 11 in the back. I think there is just as much room as my last a4 avant. First day back to the office today so I clayed, sealed and waxed yesterday and up early as I genuinely can’t wait to have a blast down the motorway

Looks great oldaudi. Not got the chance to wash mine yet.

Space in the back very much depends how tall the front occupants are. The isofix base and Cybex seat only fit with the front seat in the furthest forward position.

Went for a drive today just to test the Pro Hifi. It has passed the Kylie Pink Floyd test. biggrin

Looking good Gents cool

I nearly got a Status Grey one but ghetto spec is just in my nature. Pulled up outside my house the other day and had a little chuckle. My black 630, wife’s black Touareg, daughters black punto all parked neatly together, then I unloaded my black GSXR motorbike out the van. “ You can have any colour so long as it’s black “ biglaugh

The 6 looks great in black, in fact black was my #1 choice. Yours is 100% PIMP spec. smokin

Stratus Grey a colour that looks so much better IRL than on photos. Our driveway is a bit more colourful:

I find myself very relaxed when driving the 630. The ride is a lot better than the E46 or E91. The autobox really suits.I think this car will be good for my blood pressure (until the big bills start coming in!).

Speaking of which, what tyres are you chaps running? I'm going to keep it on RFT, I've had good experience with Goodyear Eagle F1s (on wife's E91). Any other suggestions?

Yeah pimp spec was my first choice but then a lovely Stratus car cropped up with all the right spec, if it hadn’t been keyed all down one side it would have been the one for me. Then I raised my budget 2k and picked up the one I have now !

I find myself relaxed and just mooching about effortlessly in mine. I couldn’t think of a worse car to throw a manual box in, the car is so suited to the slushbox. My shifts are sharp and firm like they should be, I know some moan about the grandad box but I love the relaxed drive of it all.

I’m on a new set of star rated Bridgestone Potenza’s RFT’s with 275/35/19 rear and 245/40/19 fronts. I really don’t see what all the fuss is about. It’s not crashy ,harsh or anything adverse at all. I find it slightly susceptible to a hint of tram lining on knackered country roads, but on anything half decent it’s dead ahead.

I’ve had a few toys over the years and bang for buck I would say these are bloody hard to beat

cool

Which Bridgestones are they? On my wife's E91, the OE Bridgestone RFTs were RE050A.

Blackcircles has Bridgstone Turanza T005.

Bridgestone RFTs. 4 of these with the slightly wider ones for the rear are almost £800 on black circles... mine look brand new.

Thanks chaps.

At the mo I've got Dunlop Sport Maxx on the front (probably needing replacing in the upcoming months).

On the rear 1x Michelin Primacy and 1x Goodyear Excellence.

Pearl leather responds really to Gliptone hide food.
My seat bolsters were almost as new after 200k miles.

Lovely colour scheme, they are cracking cars.
Enjoy

This stuff?

I've used it before (older style bottle) to good effect in other BMWs. Thanks for the advice, will give it another go.

I've been using 'Dr Leather' wipes to clean.

May I ask a potentially uncouth question,

Imagine you had one of these but needed to take 3 if not 4 bikes with you. Current method, towbar bike rack. Would these take a bar? Or is it a sticky thing on the back the way to go (which is fine for coupes, but I'd go roofless, and am unsure if the seasucker things will "just" hang off the boot).

Yes, you can fit a tow bar.

Looks fantastic. As you say exactly the same as mine visually. I think the black matts look better than the cream and a good contrast with black dash and door cards. You’re right about the colour, almost looks green on some light, dark or light grey. I really like it

Can you please check if you can read the oil level at some point. I’m still stuck with no oil level reading on my car, either via idrive or the BC buttons.
oldaudi, finally got the chance today to check the oil.

Found it in the menu as per this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHcqSaW_aRY

Oil was pretty much at capacity.

Are you sure yours doesn't have the above option/menu?
