Did you not see the select leasing deal I post a few pages back?
Thanks - I did, but when you go onto the site it presents the same deal at £424 9x23 on 8k miles. I emailed Helena though as suggested and will see what comes back.

Just had an email from Leasys, finance declined, I've never had anything declined and it's well within affordability.

5 minutes later, i received an email from G2L telling me to ignore it and Leasys system has declined everyone ... any excuse hey.
Yup, same here. James @ G2L said he's looking into it now.

I’ve also just had my finance declined by Leasy, again never had any credit ever turned down and I had already received an email from Jody saying my finance was approved two days ago?

I’ve emailed Matt to see what’s going on?

Apparently Leasys deleted the 840 from their systems so everybody was auto-declined. It'll be loaded back on tomorrow or Monday and they'll try again. Apparently no search was carried out.

I've been mailing her and the prices I've had are:

£3,325.95 initial plus £369.55pm on a 9+23

or roughly

£2,450 initial plus £405pm on a 6+23

both at 10k miles per year over 2 years.

Unfortunately as much as I want one, I can't get it by the wife as I need something at least as spacious in terms of boot as our current Leon estate and whilst this would fit the bill a good portion of the time it's simply not going to cut it for the rest. Gutted.

Yep, I’ve had this too:

“If you get an e-mail to say you have been declined by Leasys (the funder) do not worry at this stage as this is an automated e-mail from the original offer.

Sit tight and I will be in touch over the coming days with an official conclusion.”

Fits with what I was told yesterday. Keep sitting tight!

I just hope they don't pull the deal - I'm passing up the good Audi A6 deal for this...

The Gateway deal is £11438 inc. VAT for 10k pa 3/23, so your 9+23 offer is only £390 more over the term, assuming your quote is also inc. vat.

My wife also said no and I didn't think I had time to convince her so I've risked asking for forgiveness if the deal goes through.

Another one for the wife not being very happy. I was supposed to get an SUV not an orange 8 series 😁

Why would you need to ask your wife if you can get a car?!?

I got home and i said I have ordered a new car, she said "ooo" what is it?

Re the space, have you checked the dimensions as these are huge cars, rear seats fold down too.

Which Audi A6 deal have you seen? Seems the leaseco one was misprice. I was in opposite situation - so keen to pulling trigger on 840i but ultimately couldn’t justify it as run around/second car (main car will be likely new X5/Q7/GLE etc which annoyingly is working out more than 8 series).

Haha I was opposite. Couldn’t convince my wife to choose 8 series over SUV. Jealous of those getting the 8 series!

It's the usable space, putting the seats down isn't an option as we'll have 2 child seats in place in the back, then there's the pushchair and all the other assorted bits, suitcases etc. as we're often going away visiting relatives and the like. Boot is a decent size but it's really an estate I need and as much as I can play Tetris with the loadspace it's just not as practical as an estate. Not to mention that the opening for the boot isn't the widest for getting a pushchair in there in the first place. I did go and have a look at one with our push chair in tow and I simply couldn't justify it.

I'll throw in that she's 42 months pregnant right now and ready to drop at any second, so it's not the time for me to be arguing with her hehe

ContractCars - it's a 'loyalty' one though, so only applies if you have an Audi from VWFS at the moment (I have an A5 currently). £204 pcm which is a steal. I was meant to be cutting the car budget down, but on the 840 I've upped it by £50 a month.

And 42 months pregnant?! She must be dying to get that one out. What are you having - a blue whale? wink Good luck with it, though!
