Channel 4 news just aired a feature on this too.
They said If anyone is worried get in contact with BMW now.
They have been working on a solution for a year now.
Just seen that. What exactly is the fix? They said If anyone is worried get in contact with BMW now.

No mention of the alarm vulnerability unless I missed it on Watchdog. I have to confess that I did talk a couple of times to their researcher -- the second warning notice they showed was sent in by me.
I suggest that we all camp on BMW's freephone number tomorrow asking for the fix...

BMW saying that a fix is now available and is being extended to models in addition to the X5/X6 and that owners will be contacted.
My dealer today said they knew nothing of the X5 recall.....and I as someone that has owned an X5 from new have heard bugger all from BMW.........Covering themselves in glory.
Still hopefully we'll all be getting lets in the post soon.
