Think a fix might be publicised quite quickly after that opening line!

Channel 4 news just aired a feature on this too.
They said If anyone is worried get in contact with BMW now.
They have been working on a solution for a year now.
Just seen that. What exactly is the fix?
They didn't go into detail just said to get in touch with bmw
If there was a fix, then the dealers would know about it and telling everyone already....

BMW saying that a fix is now available and is being extended to models in addition to the X5/X6 and that owners will be contacted.

That costs money, though.

Was told at the weekend about the X5 fix being done and a full recall.

<laughs at the thieves who bought the kit>

Oh wait. They'll just start breaking back into the houses to get the keys.

You cannot win!

They didn't report about the alarm having a blind spot by the drivers door - I've just emailed them about it smile.

And, wtf is going on with Anne's glasses?!

No mention of the alarm vulnerability unless I missed it on Watchdog. I have to confess that I did talk a couple of times to their researcher -- the second warning notice they showed was sent in by me.

I suggest that we all camp on BMW's freephone number tomorrow asking for the fix...
