Had no issues with Zimmerman discs, cheapest on German eBay, they are the discs used for the 4 pot 340 and 370mm kits (with BMW branding)
After the issues the Porsche 944 guys had with them I wouldn't touch them as far as I could throw them. Many people found that they warped prematurely. Another set of discs? No issues at all smile.

Where were you last week!
Sorry! hehe

Just looked in the E61 V8 thread. Mine was a 550 so massive disks. Paid 308 for disks, pads and wear sensors. Then just the labour to fit.

When I spoke to the Indy who was doing the fitting I think they quoted in the region of 550 quid for Brembo parts? When I gave them the Cotswold price they expressed mild amazement and said they couldn't get near the price but they'd be happy to fit them.

Edit: typo

I had a set of drilled Zimmermans about 15 years ago and put a dirty great crack in one of the fronts on the first track day I did with them.

I have just changed discs and pads on my e70 3.0 40d.
Bought EBC ultimax kit direct from them for £380 ish.
They have worked well with no fade and initial bite is ok ... would probably be better when I rebuild the calipers.
I have bought BMW ones in the past but have been plagued with vibration issues .

I put a set of brembo front pads on my m140 a few months back and they warped my OEM discs in short order.
I'm sticking to OEM from now on as the savings on aftermarket pads aren't worth potentially warping the discs IMO.

BMW Kirkcaldy sorted front pads for me for £69 posted, can't argue with that.

I wonder how many of the reported "warped discs" are actually warped discs, and how many are simply a build up of pad material on the discs?

How many people with "warped discs" have had them checked and measured to confirm the discs were actually warped? scratchchin
