Interestingly Glass's puts a 50k mile 325Ci Sport on a 53 plate at £9700 trade in excellent condition. Obviously in 'the current climate' this is unrealistic but just how far behind book would you expect a private sale decent nick example to be? I really don't think my suggestion of £8k was really worth the torrent of abuse it picked up. If anything it might be rather conservative, a quick check on Autotrader doesn't reveal that many similar cars for less.

Get yourself to a car auction and see what cars are actually making.

Wisebuyers is about the only guide that is anywhere near.

I appreciate what you are saying and reckon in terms of auction value your figure is probably about bang on but the OP isn't selling his car at an auction - private sale values are obviously higher otherwise traders would buy stock from private sellers instead obviously.

I know I'm a nob but honestly just accept that I'm a cock who posts bilge and move on tongue out

I didn't notice that he said private value in his post.

......so, £9.5k is about right for the car then - Glasses wise..........kinda figured it should be........who knows where the 2 - 6k figure comes from...a special place no doubt.......

....bearing in mind the current climate and all that........and perceived effect to the car trade........as someone looking to PX.....you might expect a 10 -20% cheeky attempt at a low bid.......provided the potential vehicle is priced to reflect the 'climate'......

The absolute cheapest facelift 325Ci in the country advertised on Autotrader is £7500, has 110,000 miles and is (despite the advert) not a Sport.

The absolute cheapest facelift 325Ci Sport on Autotrader is just under £8000 and again, has more miles.

Just for info, like.

As I seem to remember saying to you before, I'll advertise a P reg Escort for £10k. I've advertised it at that, so it must be the right price.

And just to be honest, ill sell the car to anyone as long as its quick so if you know a dealer after a car......It isnt A1 condition but at the end of the day its a 5 year old car that has 50k on the clock......so i think a few slight kerb marks can be expected....still its cheap at anywhere below £6k, IMO. I just wanted a honest opinion though!

But there are loads of other P reg Escorts for 20p, which would make you look silly advertising one for £10k.

Where are the cheap facelift 325Ci Coupe's?

Sice we are talking 325i, put a depressing value on mine as I may be changing

2002 52 325 sport saloon, Manual in Imola red with 24000 miles full bmw service history, no dent or scratches. alcantara and cd multi, no sat nav.

Good nick.. Anyone think below £6k
if its good nick then I would potentialy buy that off you, where are you?
Sorry but for the £6k being quoted here I cant see anything worth replacing it with. Thanks for the offer, it is always good to here at least someone would buy your car.
It may sound daft but everything is on its backside at present price wise.

Add £4k and you would be in a 00 M5, another £10k would get you a pick of 996's or a supercharged E55 AMG.

Without being advertised? tongue out

Anyway the OP now has plenty of opinion and he's got his sights set low in terms of value anyway so should get a quick sale. Let's agree to disagree before it turns ugly again wink

Yea sorry about that, PH is a bit fussy and I forget you need to manually enter the persons name each time you wish to quote something else.

True I came out of a 996 into the 325, but it is a balance of MPG ( M5 & AMG to low )longer commute V's 4 seats, kids getting to big for 996. As I said I cant see anything that I would reather have for the money, & as this thread goeas on it seems to be going UP in value

Cap trade on this was £11000 in April of this year

I'm acutally looking to trade it now against a 996 and will be looking for at least £9.5

Where do you get a figure of 6k from?

So he got offered £7200 trade, meaning the £6k was as I thought a bit low.

I wont hold out for an apology from Paoloh wink
