This is as close as I can find ..
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/BMW+... and its only an 03 so stuff that actually.
Given it's not from a bmw dealer with warranty but eh....Im sure you can get extended or 3rd party warranty.
Edit - think this was it http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/BMW+...
But less not miss the point that petrol cars are cheaper than the diesel equivalent. Thats the point im trying to get across.
This looks pretty good too actually.

Ok, , been away so not up to speed on all this but.
My reasoning for buying this car was simple
BMW main dealer with proper warranty, not an aftermarket worthless piece of paper that takes weeks of negotiating to get anything out of.
Mileage is from one private owner, bought from Coopers, serviced by Coopers
Car was registered 2 weeks prior to the March 2006 cut off for group G, meaning tax is £220 a year, not £440 next year and £950 the following year.
I agree that I could have bought a lumpy petrol engine for similar money, but what is the benefit?
This has 232 BHP which is ample to proceed without hindering others. It is almost silent when driven normally, and has the same comfort levels.
Mileage will be 10-12k pa. mainly popping to the shops / pub or 30 miles to ex's house. None of it requires excessive power.
I previously had a 740 with the 4.4 engine. only 40 odd bHP more than this, and I am sure Pendle will remap if i need it.
Hope this helps

With that sort of mileage and type of driving, why the 7
It's a 7. What other reason do you need.Was I meant to buy a 1.2 Fiesta ECOwarrior?
ipwn, what made you buy the 330d? It's not a car I would ever consider. Harsher ride than a Skoda, more expensive, higher servicing costs, more chance of upsetting other drivers and it doesnt have indicators. So why did you chose that not a Skoda or a Mondeo?

It's a 7. What other reason do you need.I don't think it was an unreasonable question. A gigantic millenium falcon-esque barge such as a seven series is a complete overkill if used just to 'pop' to the shops. Its the last car I'd want for such journeys. Why on earth would you need a vehicle of such proportions just to 'pop' to the shops, unless you only stock up on canned goods on a bi-yearly basis and have to replensish the vast supplies in your fallout shelter, in which case my appologies.

Not buying a seven series does not mean you automatically have to buy a '1.2 Fiesta ECOwarrior' either, there are plenty of different vehicles of varying sizes/shapes/bhp etc so I'm not sure why you seem to believe you only have two choices of automobile.Simond001 said:

I am not saying instead of a 7 why didn't you get a s class or LS....I am talking about the the series out of the range
Toilet duck explains very well.
I love the harsh ride, I love the running costs, I love upsetting other drivers by not even doing anything and mine has very good indicators
Then again I dont know what my car has anything to do with this...

It is more comfortable than an X5
It has better rear legroom than a 3 (lifts to / from pub etc)
It is less likely to have been caned in a previous life.
is that ok?

4 It is less likely to have been caned in a previous life.

2. Hope so, it's designed for it.
3. Lifts are generally short and apreciated no matter in what car. Unless you are giving people lifts from London to Stuttgart then the 1 3 5 x5 x3 would have been completely adequate to sit in the back of for a relatively short period of time.
4. HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAA won't even bother.
Don't get me wrong at all! I am not sgging the car of, its a brilliant machine, just IMHO I wouldn't see the point really need the 7 size or the diesel ( I think is a tad under powered for that size of car 745d *drools*) with that sort of mileage.

2. Exactly
3. Not really, 4 chaps in the 996 last week didnt work out too well. OK.
4. So 730's are as likely to be thrashed as a 330 or 535 is it. get real.
I have a powerful car for pressing on in life. this is my barge for runnning about in. If you want a 745 so much get off here and work a bit harder. maybe then you can afford one.
I'm ending this now. You havent offered any advise. You have come up with non existant cars, compared a BMW warranty as similar to a aftermarket, and generally just been silly. Now run along and do some work.
Must admit, I don't see a problem of a 7, just for short runs. I do about 6k a year in my current 530 Sport. Which in a couple of years, when it comes round to replacement, I'll be looking at a 7.
I love the pressence it has on the road, and size of it. 99pc of the time it's just me and the misses driving (no kids!), I don't need the extra space. I still love the 7's....!
Cost no more to maintain that a 330d, most people want bigger house's, so why not bigger cars. ?

Why are you comparing an SUV to a limousine? They are completely different vehicles, comparing the two is completely pointless. On this basis I assume you considered that a ford transit has more luggage capacity, how did that effect your decision?Simond001 said:

How does that effect your vehicles primary use of 'popping' to the shops? Or will you need to load shopping bags on the rear seats/rear footwells?Simond001 said:

Compared to what? Perhaps you should have considered purchasing a used hearse, I have never, EVER seen one of those being driven in anger. If that is a major concern of yours, perhaps consider one of these next time. As an added bonus they also have a lot of legroom and space.Simond001 said:

I couldn't care less, its you that clearly has some sort of issue with your choice of car, you're just digging yourself into a hole.Simond001 said:

Your point about the 745d and me affording one - HAHAHAHAHAHA more like I'm in the wrong country
Oh and clearly you now know what I can and can't afford...if I was in the market it would be a Maybach with a driver
Not even worth it now, pathetic.
Ps - you don't buy barges for running about in, you buy bargain barges for it

One thing I was surprised at when I was on the verge of getting one of these was that ISOFIX isn't standard. Small point obviously but strange.
Edit - come to think of it, the fact you didn't know what a 745d doesn't exist in England now makes me think you didn't really do any research into buying your car.
