Yeah its a bit tough to see it driven off straight away but only a few days till Sat morning. What was funny is Phil who did the handover (probably done some for you guys) took me round and said, all tyres are the same brand, b pillar trim is secure, display key is present, there is no noise from the drive train, the apps are all on there etc. Hi All,
Great thread here, wish I had found it earlier! I managed to bag this deal back in January direct through G2L and I'm expecting delivery at the end of the month - I was skeptical about the offer, but seeing actual pics of cars being delivered is assuring.
For anyone that is interested here is a link to the G16 technical training document - note that it appears to be for the US market rather than EU.

Just handed my S4 back after a 2 years, so quite looking forward to jumping into the 840i - went for Dravit with Coignac interior.

In my case , car needs to stay in dealership for 3rd day to change 1 tyre and replace battery. I suspect they found some other issues .....
3 days to replace 1 tyre and battery!!
Had enough , dropped direct email to G2L saying I am not paying for this unless car is fully sorted and on my driveway.
Engineer working on car told me that PDI was most likely done 22/04 so 2 months ahead of delivery and he was shocked to see car leaving dealership like this....
Anyways , congrats to Simon as his car is the most important one

Once that was complete and the car was reviewed under the lights some hologram effects were visible on the door where an attempt had been made to polish out an imperfection at the factory. Lousy attempt!
Also a scratch was revealed - you might think it was obvious but I assure you I checked the car over and in normal light and an unclean car this wasnt visible. It has now been properly removed and the hologram marks corrected.

Yeah seems crazy it's not just a software update!
It might end up been the same as the Drive Recorder which appeared last year and was initially said to only be available June 2019 builds onwards. However it seems to show on the Connected Drive store for all 8-series provided they're running new software. Works on my March 2019 build 840d.

This was discussed a little while back, wheels shown on Idrive are the multispokes which is annoying. Does everyone else have a matching car on the idrive or.....?
