So after just over a month of having the car I would briefly summarise as;

+ Presence, ride quality and comfort, sense of quality, fuel economy

- Digital cockpit, iDrive, engine sound inside (sounds like a 6 cylinder diesel), small boot

My points of reference are my S5's, wife recent A6 and my dads 540i x drive which incidentally sounds much better from the inside!

Just shows we're all different

I'd have ride not as good as I expected and idrive and engine sound better than I expected especially when you rev it out.

And drive assist pro is way better than what I'm used to

For me in plus

Comfort
Ride and handling in aggressive modes
Fuel consumption
Dash although hated it first
HUD is very good
You can use it to watch movies loool

st

Engine sound
ZF makes weird sound when holding on gear , sport modes only
One giant blind spot with cupholders
Charging tray right next to USB ports and cup holders , accident is just a matter of time lol

I am now getting proper cracks and burbles on startup in Sports Modes , engine must be warm and ambient temp high too , not sure why but sounds very meaty

Well that was easier to fix than expected. Also the clips referenced on RealOEM (and supplied by the dealer) are slightly different to the ones that were fitted from the factory - they look a little more robust. I'm going to leave it booked in for the time being in case it happens again in the interim, I also still want them to do the iDrive update if it hasn't happened OTA by then too.

I am picking mine up on 1st September and it is with the dealer now. As they have a fair bit of time to PDI it, this might be a good opportunity to give them a list of potential ‘issues’ to look at before handover.

I am thinking of asking for the latest software to be installed (I don’t know when the car was actually built, but would guess early July).

Is there anything else I should be asking them to check?

received my full contract from Leasys..... noticed the excess mileage was 26ppm plus vat, for some reason I had it in my mind it was even higher... still its enough though. Im finding myself munching through the contracted mileage at twice the rate so I may contact leasys for a cost to uplift. It maybe just the initial 'fun' factor in driving the car plus I expect come winter the mileage will drop ...or maybe not smile

I've still not had a proper full contract from them after delivery. I've had the car for 5 months now.
Not had any sort of documentation like I did with my R.

The G2L contract said something like 41ppm (inc VAT) for excess miles. I phoned Leasys to see if I could extend my 10k per year contract at a better rate and they told me the excess miles rate was actually 26ppm (+ VAT) as well, so better than expected.

However it will only be possible to extend the mileage in the contract after 12 months and Leasys advised that the extension is likely to be at a higher rate than the 26ppm + VAT, so it would make no sense at all to do it. I think we have to assume that we will be paying 26ppm (+VAT) for any miles beyond our contract. In the unlikely event that Leasys will extend more cheaply a year from now, that would just be a bonus!

It is a fabulous car so I am finding myself driving it more than planned.

Good to know - I can live with 26ppm plus vat - I’m thinking I should have gone for 12 k rather than 10 k per year - but I’m not letting that stop me driving the car and enjoying it !!! wink

I'm enjoying it enough that I would like to go from 10k to 15k a year, but perhaps not for an extra £3120 over the term. I guess I'll end up doing 12-13k a year. I have winter wheel set for my other car, so perhaps I'll 'earn back' some of the excess miles I'm doing now by reducing use a little over winter.

Great thanks for this. My excess mileage charge is showing £0.32. Which is much better than the G2L charge of £0.4096 per mile. Now I don't mind as much going over. 10k extra miles was going to cost £4k now it's £3k! Pretty much.

I just don't understand how they got so much of it wrong.
My monthly payment is different, my initial payment was less and now the excess mileage is different too.

Mine was supposed to be at the dealer on 11th August but not had an update since I was told that 10 days or so ago.

Which dealer has got yours? I am also planning on asking them about the software update.

I had my first invoice notification from Leasys, it'll be taken on the 23rd. For those of you who've had yours longer, does that set the monthly DD date going forward too? I prefer to have all my DDs go out in the first week of the month, has anyone been able to alter their DD date with Leasys?

No official contract as yet, no VED payment taken and no £350 credit from G2L yet...

I've only had my car a month today but Leasys were very accommodating and happy to move my DD from middle to end of month.
Without prompting they also came back and asked if I wanted to alter my initial payment date but thought best to get this out of the way rather than delay further.

Do you mind me asking which dealership did the android auto FOC mate? Will help me complain to Liverpool BMW who are trying to charge me 160. Cheers!
