Cognac does look nice - we were thinking sonic blue and black interior as our five year old will be going in it quite a bit.
As to carbon black, that’s actually really a very nice colour! I think I prefer the blue, but I am tempted by carbon black and cognac now!
Here’s a decent video of a coupe in sonic blue: https://youtu.be/vhODhux1bHg

Glad I went for this colour looks bloody lovely! Black grill and that’ll be set 👌. Would’ve gone for ivory if carpets were black but no chance with ivory carpets, would need to take my shoes off every time I got in!

Anyone having seconds thoughts about this deal?

Saw this initially on HUKD and applied, but then saw it was £2k cheaper on here, being from Yorkshire, i can't buy anything someone else has got cheaper, its a mental block. So i didn't ring the company back.
However, have enquired about the same price as everyone else has paid.

Got a Volvo V90 at the minute, the interior in that to me looks better.

I was going to get an electric car next, with Evezy, but they have increased their prices significantly.
Looked at the Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe on lease. both from here and HUKD.

But as % deals, this deal is miles better, if i can get the original rate.

No heated screen, no autopilot unless paying £3k, had a golf R stolen this year, expect this to get targeted as well.
Can someone confirm this has adaptive cruise included, or do we need the £3k pack for that?

Colour wise, i'm going with Orange, but then i love the red seats, does anyone know the difference between extended and full leather? To me its just the red edges of the mats, but why is it £2.5k more than just extended?
So was thinking if i get the red seats, id have to get black exterior.

Dad said a Leaf is an old mans car and i have plenty of time for that being early 30's, might just go for it, this would be far more fun, yet far more expensive to run.
Cruise Control with brake function is listed as standard equipment on the BMW website.

My X3 is carbon black and it’s a fantastic colour. I have ivory leather which suits it very well. Cognac would also look great. If I go for the 840i I wouldn’t get carbon however for two reasons; firstly because I already have it, but secondly dark cars don’t stay looking clean for long. But like I said, carbon is lovely. However at no time do I consider myself as having a black car, it seems to always look very dark blue. Perhaps that’s because of the black window trims etc. Perhaps if they weren’t black the car may look black, if you know what I mean...

This isn’t the same as adaptive cruise control.

What he said - the brake function just means that it’ll brake if you’re going downhill to maintain speed, and will also brake to reduce speed if you adjust it. Adaptive cruise is “Driving Assistant Professional” in BMW speak, and is part of the tech pack.

You just can’t please some people can you.

It’s a £70k car for £11k which BMW are already offering with a £5-10k discount, in two years the thing we will be worth £45-50k.

If you want to go mad with options then stump up the extra or go and buy a car, spec’ it up and lose £30/40k.

Who really cares if it has adaptive cruise, is it that much of a chore to actually watch the road and brake / speed up ... some of you need to give your head a wobble.

Starting up a thread for those of us speccing, ordering and then waiting for our 840's - most of which will be on the Gateway2Lease deal of £3,165 down and £351.75 a month.
Where is the link to this unbelievable deal?

For an 840i on 8,000 miles the Gateway to Lease site is quoting

Business Contract Hire
All Business Prices Exclude VAT
Initial of £9,428.49 + VAT followed by
23 x £1,047.61 + VAT per month

A lot less than that. You can already buy a one-year-old Approved Used car for £47k.

I agree

Good deals do seem to be followed by a week "must haves", "deal breakers" and "cold feet". smile

I prefer simple cars and don't know what half the features are. I don't expect I'll be any the wiser after two years but I will enjoy driving a new £70k BMW for such a small amount of cash.

FWIW I went for black/black as my wife likes black cars and I didn't want to risk listening to two years of what a vile colour it is.

Sorry about the rainy Manchester photos. Although if you live in the North West this is probably what you can expect them to look like most of the year!
