Really not sure what you are saying to me?
Most new 5 series are leased, to control the depreciation.
A cash buyer of a £30k car still depreciating is quite a rare beast?
Whether you lease/PCP or pay cash upfront you always pay the depreciation, it all depends on what level you are prepared to stomach and that determines the point at which you enter the curve. Most new 5 series are leased, to control the depreciation.

Lol yep. You can get an F10 550i M Sport new with that spec for £48k, even Broadspeed list them close to that!
Show me. With all the options. Obviously discounts from new are available and affect used pricing. My rule of thumb is lose 50% against list or close to list at 3 years. However in my experience BMWs aren't priced at 50% of discounted purchase price at 3 years old.
M135is were being knocked out for low 30s when they came out 3 years ago. You won't find them for half that now.

You can't even buy a 550i anymore in the UK, it's not on Broadspeed for that reason, so I guess you just made that up?

I'm sure there was someone on here after one, very very rare, and it's priced accordingly!

A nice old barge albeit I'd agree with those that think it's a few grand overpriced. I was almost tempted to wonder if they'd give me some cash plus the F11 in exchange for my F31 335d but quickly realised I was just being naive.....!! http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...

I bought my 550i when it was 6 years old with 60k for somewhere between 10 and 15k...
So only 2 years older yet as little as a third of the price. Which seems to support the claim that £31k for a 4 year old 550i is 'a lot of money' if a 6 year old one could be had for 10-15k.Fox- said:

Seriously though the E60 is a generation older (and was when I bought it) and also pre-LCI so prices were reflected accordingly. There are still late E60s lingering around the 14/15k mark which are no doubt propping up F10 prices. Maybe when the next 5 is out F10s will take a hit. If only we all had a crystal ball eh!

If someone wants a car like this they're going to have to put their money where there mouth is and stump up a significant amount of money.
It cost a lot more than the boggo diesel variant, and thats reflected in the price. Try finding another like it.
If i had a rare and exclusive watch that cost a lot of money new and i'd maintained it to the highest standard, why would i sell it for the same price as a common or garden one thats been used everyday?
Yes, go in hard and negotiate, but even a "humble" 530i F11 of similar year and miles is probably £25K.

Only you forgot the nearly £15K of options, when I looked earlier in the year Broadspeed didn't offer much off those.
