Lovely interior and looks well specced with xenons, heated seats, etc. However that's strong money for an N53 auto despite the low mileage. And the black wheels are vomit I'd rather have steelies biggrin

The seller has a completed item showing it for sale at 9 grand. What a loon.

Nice 325i with low miles, 1 owner and BMWSH. Would still be wishing I had a 330i manual though... Autotrader seems to think £800 underpriced at £9k - seems like quite strong money to be given the fairly basic spec (love the cloth sports seats though, much nicer than leather SE seats).

What do you use the M3 for? If you want something different to soak up the miles then I wouldn't personally start with a Mégane RS as a daily.
I bought the M3 as I love my Z4M coupe but now have 2 children. I like it (and love the engine) but still can’t bear to get rid of the Z4M so it’s ended up as an addition. Had a foreseen this I probably would have bought the saloon - that way it could have replaced the 335i as a family car at some point.

Reason for mentioning the Megan RS is that I’ve never owned a Renaultsport and it has 4 doors and an auto gra box option (Mrs S doesn’t want a manual).

It would also be sometjing different .Think having the M3 has made the 335i feel less special in the handling department and the DCT is much crisper than the auto box, which is to be expected.
Sounds like you need an E90 M3 with DCT.

I've had various Renaultsport Clios and the Megane doesn't really appeal. If it's a year round daily drive/family car with a bit of pep you need then a Golf R is likely to be a better bet, especially if you get the estate.
Sadly it was only the 335i coupe and convertible that got the DCT. Think the issue is that the M3 has both more character and is a sharper drive. Before I had the M3 there wasn’t much to compare it to

Plan is to drive a Golf T and see how it goes.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the engine/gearbox combo. Like the engine with a manual box, but if auto the 335i or 330/335d is a better proposition.

Knew you'd appreciate the cloth sport seats. In fairness, I do too. The ideal seat choice!

Ha, yes! Loved those seats. Not sure if these have lumbar support though lick

Xenon bulb this morning went pink and then blew.

Are these any good?

4300k is OEM colour iirc?

Looks like it's an arch liner out job to access.

Assume it's worth doing both sides?

Done today.

No need to remove the wheel. I noted my access panel was missing. The clip that holds the bulb in place is a fiddly bugger. Otherwise, sorted and works with no issues. We'll see how long the Lumex bulb lasts.

Good work, that. I bought access flap a few weeks ago. Bloody £15!

For £15, I may remain sans flap. biggrin

Which light were you swapping? Can they both be accessed from the panel? This is next on the lost of jobs for me...

It's been a bit of a mission for me this week. Started off with oil filter housing gasket, ended up buggering the cylinder head coolant hose and the actual issue in the long run was actually the oil filter housing cooler gasket! Could have carried that out without touching anything else (would have been a bit messy mind). At least swapping out the coolant hose gave me the chance to flush out and replace all the coolant in the car. All good.

The ongoing saga of our ever breaking E91 smile

Creaking noise from the right rear of the car. Removed the interior trim in the boot, and a found large rubber disc/bung loose behind the cover, and this:

Top mount, or shock absorber failed?

We can't think of any point where we hit a bad bump recently. The metal thing in the centre of the picture (which I guess is the top of the shock absorber?) is not fixed - and can be moved around. I guess its meant to be fixed to a mount?

Rear top mount has failed there, Steve. The washer holds the inner of the mount to the damper. Just a new top mount would sort that. Not a big job to do if you fancy getting the spanners out.

These mounts have been crap since E30 days. If you're going to do one, do the other one since it won't be that far behind. A mate had one fail on his E46 and it poked through the carpet too. hehe

Thanks - I don't have any tools (well I have spanners, but don't have a jack etc.), so I'll be in the hands of the garage again I think. Hopefully it'll be the last opportunity for it to break in 2020 smile

Do the old E30 reinforcement plates still fit the newer cars? I had them on E36s but not on anything newer.

I believe Monroe do a robust version.
