there's far too many clean, concourse looking cars in this thread!

Let me change that with this effort after 2 days of use on my Wales Rally duties wink of which it preformed exceptionally! only grip is the TCS doesn't fully disengage mad

This was just before i gave it a good jetwashing down! But the mud is still finding its way out from somewhere!!

Does it not?

If you press the button once then it is partially turned off and if you hold the button down for a few seconds then it's completely off?

(Also, did you mean grip or gripe, good typo if so!)

318is, no rust, owned in Australia. I've done lots of little jobs on the car, with the aim of keeping it for years. Just been offered a job in Germany, so it's going up for sale. frown

Cool car! I wonder if the sale price in Australia will allow you to buy a similar one in Germany?

Maybe, rust is a beatch though.

Thanks. Was thinking of going for a low mileage e36 325i sedan, or maybe an e36 318is, or an m3 or even m5...we will see.

Big step up from the 2004 1.9dci Scenic it has replaced! E91 330d auto, grey Dakota leather interior, 53K miles, absolutely love it!

I've used a 2003 Scenic for tip runs and thought it's boot was massive. Surely a 3er touring is smaller?
Yes it's a bit smaller and the folding rear seats don't offer the same level of practicality but we didn't really need that level or practicality anymore, we had twins 7 yrs. ago and they needed a lot of stuff back then! Much nicer being in a "proper" car that's bit more sportier and less bus like, couldn't fault it though never let us down. We've also got a Mazda 3 as a backup and for the dirtier jobs.
