Just had an update from Arnold Clark that my M135i is now ETA at the dealer in late May (instead of mid July), this is inline with what wkd has found out for his when he got hold of the order number and went direct to BMW.

Just chatting.....it seems the M135i gets its 306 bhp with 98 ron.The 128ti 265bhp was done with 95 ron. On a forum a guy dynod his WRX STi which I think is around 300bhp with both 98 and 95 ron and there was a 36bhp difference. Maybe BMW are using smoke and mirrors to keep the differential more than it is.The way the 128ti smokes the vw gti in a youtube drag race makes you wonder.
I don’t think you can go off another car and how much power is dropped between 95 and 98 (what vintage is the WRX?).

The 128ti and GTI video could just show how much better traction off the line the 128ti has (tyres, diff, even side of the road might make a difference). A rolling race would of been a better indication and takes out the variables.

Does anyone have any idea how these deals work with regards to private plates? Are we able to put our plates on then take them off before we return them or with it being PCH do they not allow them to be changed?
Thanks
I asked Lynn at AC about me adding my plate and she said you just need to nominate them on your retention form and send them a copy and they can add it to the car before it’s delivered to me.

Then when your coming to the end of the lease just email them to remove it and they will raise the request with the dvla to put it back on retention in your name and then it’s done.

When I did this with VW they charged me £50 admin to remove but nothing to put it on so would expect the same from AC
Do you know what happens when it's taken off?
eg you ask them to take it off which means you need to source the normal plates before it goes back or does it actually go back with your private plate and then they put it on retention for you?

£13k to do 15k miles seems a bit steep. Doesn't look to be an amazing deal to my eyes.

The 2014 M135i deals were better. ISTR that worked out at around the same cost pa, but the mileage allowance was 10k pa, so the cost per mile was half.
I think the price of cars has increased significantly since then including the availability of new builds. That’s a decent deal compared to what is out there at the moment and increasing the mileage over the allowance won’t break the bank either.
Indeed, pointless comparing it to 2014....back in 2003 I got etc.
A new, bog standard M135i was available for circa £26k around that time.

Just been notified that my 128ti is now expected to be delivered to the dealership at the end of April - as in next week.

Mid May delivery to me according to Lynne who I’ve been dealing with at Arnold Clark.

Considering my GTI goes back 9/5 this works really well!
Good news!
What was the previous delivery date they were quoting?

Test drove an M135i the other day.

As a comparison to my Cupra 290 it’s got much better interior quality and finish as expected. The exterior is nicer to look at imo too.

Drive- feels like a luxury/hot hatch with less road noise and better over rough roads whereas the Cupra “feels” faster and more fun.

Sound- Cupra is louder with pops and bangs. M135i exhaust note has a nicer tone and no pops and bangs

Tech- M135i miles ahead

Overall happy with the decision and definitely an upgrade!
Cool, thanks for that.
My Cupra 290 lease goes back once the M135i arrives.

Just been informed my 128ti is confirmed as end of May delivery. Tempted to pay the extra and ditch the Cupra which was due back September.

idea
Who is your Cupra with?
Mine is with ALD and I think they charge 100% of any outstanding payments although mine is due back end of July.

Yep, my original first lease (can’t remember who with) on a Fiesta ST back in 2015 was also 100%....infact think AC is as well?

VWFS is 55%.

Taken off before it goes back, the cars original plates should come with the car still so you just have to put them on when they collect.

You will want it to be off before they collect so you can be 100% sure you still have your personal reg.
I queried the end of lease and taking the plates off with Lynn and she said the car goes back with your plate on and they arrange with the DVLA to put it back on retention for you (if you aren’t getting another car from them that is otherwise they can transfer it over).

Seen a few of the M135i knocking about this last week.

White looked really well, not seen the Missano Blue as yet.
Seen a couple this weekend driving past, Misano is a pretty nice colour actually and would of been tempted (went for Mineral grey) but the current leased Cupra is in blue so wanted a change.

M135i mineral grey metallic paint, Pro pack and head up display

Can I ask when you were given this quote bud? Mines in at 363 3+35 on 8k miles but without HUD.
Cheers!
Probably on here but was an earlier one (Feb or March).

I ordered early Feb and it was £342 on M135i, pro pack, metallic, 8k pa, 3+35.
Metallic was being discounted to practically free, I see the quote from a few posts back doesn’t have it discounted now.

AC quotes usually include BMW service pack, does carleasingmadesimple? Also any fee with the broker? £0 with AC.

Mineral (M135i) is what I ordered, saw a Storm bay 128ti on a local walk and it looked good as well (Mrs not 100% keen though on the colour).

This sold me on the mineral and funnily enough a bloke literally over the road from me has just got a mineral M135i! Does look good (although this isn’t it, pulled this image from Babybmw).

Ordered my M135 (ac lease) 17th Feb, it’s at the dealers and being delivered to me next week...

I hope the new car excitement lasts, otherwise it could be a long 3 years.
Great news! What spec did you order?

AC update, car now ETA at the dealer in mid May (rather than late May). Sounds like I could possibly get it late May, although waiting on my private plate retention certificate from the DVLA with AC as nominee.

Do you need to send the physical certificate to AC or do they only need the relevant details off the certificate?
They said they need the certificate, first class it’ll be there in a day.

My M135i has landed at the dealer, delivery will have to wait until the DVLA have returned my private reg retention certificate which might be a few weeks yet given the quoted timescales.
So late May or early June delivery hopefully. Want to get the Cupra sent back before mid June or I’ll have to renew the insurance for only a few weeks.
