Show Me Your BMW!!!!!!!!!

I quite like the front of them, certainly prefer it to the pre-facelift model
Yes you would expect electric seats to be standard (given that heated seats is standard) They are partly electric and partly manual. I am not too concerned becuase once I have my seat set up I rarely move it, and no one else is likely to drive the car
BMW are notorius for being a bit tight on the extras and spec. Overall I am very happy with the spec on this paticular car tho, it was a display room demo so is nicely kitted out

Beautiful car. Nasty little Reg plate though, put a proper size one on it sir!
Why? It's 100% legal.pottman said:
I posted some pics of my Oxford Green F80 M3 earlier in this thread (page 311), so I thought you might be interested in my latest acquisition.
That really highlights what a bloody awful mess BMW's styling department has become. The F80 is easily the ugliest saloon BMW has ever made. The E39 is still utterly gorgeous.RoverP6B said:

Agree re E39 but I think the F80 is lovely. Surely E65 is what you meant to say was the ugliest ?Honestly, the E65 really isn't that bad, I quite like it and most of the Bangle-era stuff. The pre-facelift E90/91 is probably the weakest design of that era - but none of them come close to the grotesque and downright offensive eye-burning hideousness of what BMW are churning out now. The F80 is the very worst of them - and the E39 highlights exactly why. Even a base-spec F30 is too busy. There are too many lines, too many details, too many complex surfaces. The M3 treatment whacks the F-number up by 50 by making it commensurately uglier by adding even more fussy details in an effort to make it 'sporty'... which it isn't really, it's too heavy and turbo-laggy and twitchy on the limit, by all accounts... the E39 is so understated, it's got less going on visually than an F30 320d SE, nothing to distract from the fundamental beauty of that shape. It's an absolute masterpiece of design, and 30 years hence I'm convinced it will be rated right up with the Bentley S3 Continental and the Jag S1 XJ6 as one of the most beautiful saloons ever made. The F80s by then will all have been crashed (hardly harming their looks!) or been scrapped as a result of catastrophic engine/turbo/electronic failure (given the abysmal record of BMW turbo six reliability over the last decade)... and the simple old E39 will just keep on going, and will keep appreciating in value. At some point in the future, between this and inflation, the kids of today will be reminiscing about the days when you could get a decent E39 M5 for under £100,000...
