I've settled on Sunset Orange but is Cognac Leather as well madness?
To me it is as it clashes a little. Ivory or black would be my choice.

But its a lease and not your car so if thats what you want go wild!

Personally I think an orange car with a fairly orange colour leather is a bit mad, but if you like it, a 2 year lease is the ideal way to get hold of a car like that. Not your problem if it dents the resale value!

Shame that Ivory leather comes with white carpets.
You can always get clear mat covers or swap in some black ones but its the ivory seat belts that are more of a maintenace nightmare.

I'd agree with that - I stood next to an 8GC yesterday with black everything and privacy glass. Far too drug dealer for my taste - IMHO it needs something to lift it.

Agreed this is too much. Not good. But silver wheels would sort it out to a degree.
I have silver trim on my S5 and everyone on the Audi forum was desperate to get theirs wrapped etc. Its Daytona grey and goes with the silver trim well so never bothered me.
On this however the bit of the design I dont personally like is the way the rear passenger window comes to such a blunt stop so I personally am trying to hid it with carbon black privacy glass and the shadowline. The silver wheels give it just enough lift to look ok to me and because carbon isnt a true black it doesn't look murdered out.
Horses for courses though - if you like the chrome go for it!

Never heard of him before and had to Google who he was, what an irritating tt he comes across as.

Fair play for the car collection and success, but couldn't hack him personally, surprised he has so many followers?!
Just because of the cars he has in the videos and what he has in his own collection. Harry's Garage for me and I dont mind Remove Before Race (Mr AMG).

Carbon black is a swirl magnet! Unless you always wash yourself with a two bucket method its impossible to keep the shine.

View it on a sunny day and you’ll see numerous holograms in the paint due to swirl marks!

It ends up looking like this (article calls it Jerez black but it looks carbon to me)

True but many dark colours are and in the sun any colour will show swirls although white hides them better than most.
Are you suggesting there are people who don’t use two buckets? I’m having a mini heart attack!

Ive been through a few BMWs and carbon black is the worst for swirls. Greys are the best as are silver and white
My Daytona grey s5 still looks new but it’s always had a ceramic coating and annual top ups along with a half decent cleaning reigime. I’ll see Carbon as a good challenge!

The new quoting tool for these 8 series still isnt live so even us guys who were early to the party have not been requoted on that new system. The fact this is dragging out is making me start to question this deal again.
Anyone had any specific updates?

Not sure - doesnt look like it. I posted Tanzanite a few pages back. It might be a filter changing the colour or a special order. Filter methinks.

Just done some sleuthing on the tyres; the 20" looks like it's 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear. Looks like Bridgestone Potenzo RE 050 RFTs for the rear are £240 each - not as bad as I thought.

The maintained uplift works out at £75/mo so putting that 'aside' each month should cover things. Anyone know the rough cost of the services? There seems to be very little information online re. intervals, pricing etc.

Edit: Ollie05 - thanks, that's also not unreasonable either...

Looks like non-maintained is actually likely to be better value then - even assuming a full set of tyres and a service over two years. Perhaps I'm not that tough on tyres either - my current Golf R has only just needed new fronts after 20 months/17k, the rears still have plenty of meat on them.

One in the showroom near me are on Michelins.
Assume they were the non run flat option then. I have PS4s on my S5 and easily the best tyres I have experience of. Id rather not have run flats to be honest but hey ho.

I just went to my local dealer where they have a 850i GC with the white leather. It looks fantastic, so I've ordered Sunset Orange with the Ivory. Practicality be damned.
Very nice combo! Just stay on top of the seats and seat belts and you will be fine. Dr Leather wipes in the glove box will be handy and I can recommend Valet Pro Leather Soap for a weekly clean.

I think you might be right. Here's another Tanzinite II shot from a deal in the US. It looks a lot more blue than the previous shots.

Lovely that!!!!!
