My M135i has landed at the dealer, delivery will have to wait until the DVLA have returned my private reg retention certificate which might be a few weeks yet given the quoted timescales.
So late May or early June delivery hopefully. Want to get the Cupra sent back before mid June or I’ll have to renew the insurance for only a few weeks.
I had my retention certificate back within a week or so but it only said Arnold Clark not Arnold Clark finance which they need it to say.So late May or early June delivery hopefully. Want to get the Cupra sent back before mid June or I’ll have to renew the insurance for only a few weeks.
Had to send it back to DVLA with a cover letter stating it must say Arnold Clark finance which itself won’t fit into the company name box on the certificate.
I sent mine first class and not recorded so I hope they actually have it and it’s not lost in the post.
Yes mine has a 21 plate listed against it even though I thought they were registering my private plate to it from 1st reg.
Maybe the dealer has allocated a plate to it (they have a range of regs to use) but it’s not actually registered with the DVLA (delivery could be in 3 months time for all they know), so in reality my private plate will be the 1st reg once the DVLA pull their paperwork finger out.

Off topic. Anyone know if i can powder coat lease alloys. Had no response from AC (David).
Internet search gives conflicting answers

Had to mess about myself cancelling my Mrs policy and insuring her car in my name (using my work NCB as not all insurers accept this) and then getting her to insure the M135i with me named. We're basically sharing cars 50/50 so it doesn't really matter as far as I can tell.
Ended up paying £375 for the year, cheapest using work NCB was £600!
Yea can be a pain but as we are down to one car it’s easy. Ended up paying £375 for the year, cheapest using work NCB was £600!
Aviva are coming out £365 and Chris Knott are £370 but have a couple of extras I’d pay more for on Aviva plus I’ve used CK for a number of years and quotes have been excellent and they answer the phone quickly!
Other quotes via comparison sites or places like Direct Line are well over £400.
Wife is also with CK currently.

Question for any of the guys who’ve had their M135i or 128ti delivered very recently; does the Steering Intervention stay off on an ignition on/off cycle?
quick bit of googling gives this resultgoogle search said:
I mentioned this on an instagram post and had a response from a very knowledgeable chap at BMW UK (quite the coding guru by all accounts!) and he said that i need to get my car booked in with my dealer.
They can plug in and update the software to post 03/2021 and that will enable "memory" on the steering intervention tick box.

(You’d like to think so).
This will be someone with an older car.

Thanks for all the replies, I've emailed AC with my concerns - they've already agreed to a valet so I'll get it done and make sure about the other things people have suggested. Now I'm no Clarkson but here are my early thoughts after a few miles:
Heated seats are very hot.
Automatic wipers aren't sensative enough, not sure if this can be adjusted.
Lane assist takes a bit of getting used to.
Car is rapid.
39.9mpg on my 12 mile commute (8 mile motorway and 2 mile dual carriageway, would have been more but the dual carriageway was crawling)
Trim feels very nice, I've come from a 330e and the M135i is at least as good, possibly a bit better.
Mirrors tilting down when reversing is a bit annoying.
£53 to fill it up from almost empty, range showing as 383 miles.
I'll get some pics uploaded at the weekend and spend some time with the manual. Overall, chuffed to bits so far for the money.

On auto wipers I assume you have adjusted the sensitivity on the stalk? Other than that you have to code the sensitivity higher although could invalidate the warranty.
Lane assist should be able to be turned off and stay off even on a car restart.
Tilt mirrors is usually the position of the mirror adjustment knob, try moving it to a different position (although I have my Leon head on here, can’t recall if BMW is the same).
