I've done some research and the simplest suggestion was MAF or air leaks after the MAF. You have 2 right?

Err... if you say so! I know very little about this stuff and the BMW specialist I took it to in Plympton had never worked on a 760 before so it's been a learning curve for them too. I've had a recommendation of another specialist in Exeter so I may take it to them to get it looked at.

Hard to say really all have there own characters I love my m5 but spent way to much on her last year. The m6 is about finished just replaced clutch flywheel an rod bearings last week lot of ramp time but she’s mint now . Had copper showing at 37k miles . Not seen the e30 this year in bits in the lock up . I’ve been spending a lot of time rebuilding my m3 compact / grafting full m3 front end on to make it look factory . It’s awsome fun thing to drive

See how far out wings are to the bonnet

Your Compact is just fantastic. thumbup

I had a 325ti Sport Compact for 3 years and loved it, but always wished BMW had made a 330ti!

But an M3 Compact would surely be the ultimate Compact. laugh

I hope you post something about it once it's finished!

Awesome stuff Weekend. I do love these home build projects, as someone who just does not have the skill or time to do anything like that I do really admire it.

I love it, so much so I don't mind the gearbox foibles or the 15mpg. Far more comfortable than the 3 series yet so much better to drive at the same time.

Mine had a stack of history and the warranty so I hope it is more reliable too!

I agree I enjoy the smg in the cars 2/3 are great for these cars real hard fud when it selects gears at speed is awesome. I would say the m3 CS is more aggressive in the nature of the gear change than the s85 powered cars !

All my cars are very low mileage but I’ve changed bearing in all the v10s I would definitely suggest you do the sane if your over 60k miles there well due . I’ve got 3 spare blocks all with multiple spun shells ! Not from my cars I might add .

Mine is just knocking on 60k, but the bearings were done recently so I'm hopeful that I'll be ok. Actuators are done too and the history is extensive, with recent warranty payouts which is reassuring me about my coverage.

Yes I have , it wasn’t so much the the build side I was interested in that’s all fairly easy an complete barring new radiator .

It was more the exterior styling as everything is different on the compact to the coupe so every panel is custom , the fronts complete just widening the rear quarters is the next stage ! I think styling on that build is more sleeper

As my 1602 is still in the workshop I needed a daily for work, dogs etc.

116d with map. It started with 117.6/220lbs and now has 191bhp and 330 ft/llbs torque.

Ideally needs a set of springs to lower a little but given I don't really like diesels or moderns, it's pretty good fun. (for a daily hack anyway)

Hopefully this will be getting mapped soon though...

Collected my latest toy yesterday - an E86 Z4MC with H & R coil-overs and CSL replica wheels.

Thrilled would be an under-statement!
