Nice Compact.

There's a late 6 speed in Imola in my village and I've asked them to call me when they want to sell it. Have had a few and they're great fun. An S54 makes them pretty quick too.
Really looking forward to getting this on the road, i might go s54 next time.

I haven't even had a chance to drive one, this purchase was purely driven by the 325ti appreciation thread on here. I've got some 330i brakes too, going to buy some Style 68 wheels and add some coilovers that will be okay on track but won't throw me off the road. Granted its a compromise but my last car i added track coilovers and was horrible on the road.

My mate owns a specialist that builds BMW race cars for the various series. He's kindly said that i can work on this with him, i'm really keen to gain some knowledge in the mechanics of cars. Always loved cars but never had the confidence to work on them.

Maybe not as pretty as some in here, but it's mine and I like it. 2020 540i msport xdrive touring, currently on 700 miles due to not being able to get out. Think it's been cleaned more than driven!!!

Oh, and my lads 120d behind, which he thought would be gone by now. He's got a brand new 135i xdrive on order that's stuck in Leipzig due to CV.

Lovely cars Sir!

I am finding transport from Germany to Italy is now free and easy since two weeks ago. Not sire if the Channel Crossing/UK Issue, but I have got 2 cars from Munich to Verona and an M2 Comp headed to Naples next week.

Thanks

I think the issue is that Leipzig, that builds the 1 series is closed until the 18th May, the car is on the production line/ waiting area somewhere. And then, the BMW dealers here are closed and probably not accepting deliveries. He's driving me mad as he thought is was going to get it just in time for lockdown, but it didn't happen, but I did manage to get mine!!

This image best sums up my approach to BMW's...

Here are my current BMW's....and on the lookout for a Z4 smoker for the summer too...if anyone has a 6 pot silver/black car with red leather...get in touch smile

Sensible Daily

Fun Daily - occassional track car 130i

Race Car - BMWCC

Race/Rally Car E46 Compacy 3.0ltr, LSD etc - (prepped to go single stage rallying but also Endurance racing on track)

Road Trip/Track Car

130i is probably surplus to requirements now the M3 has arrived but I can convince myself they all have their place for now.

Looks clean. Such a great design. Don’t think I’ve seen many in white. Been binge searching 530i manual E39s.

Good to see where the DoL M3 ended up, you seemed to act pretty quick when that went up for sale!

Picked this up at the tail end of lat summer. After several years of flitting between BMW's and Jags, most recently an XFS (because I needed a Diesel for work... 6 months and it bored the life out of me :-( ), I spent a fair amount of time hunting this down, in what to me is the perfect spec;

2018 MY 440i
Snapper Rocks Blue
Perf Alloys
Carbon Aero
HK Audio
MPPSK
Manual Gearbox

Don't know how many others there are in this spec?

How did you find JP to deal with? I was looking at their site for months and cycled down to see them. Really wanted to use them, but they never came up with the goods...

Hi all,

Long time lurker first time posting while owning a BMW.

Not my first one but currently own a 2009 E61 530d M SPORT Business Edition Touring.

Iv been working away doing various bits of servicing and repairs. All fluids, thermostats, rear brakes, tailgate wiring etc.

I am however contemplating a change of wheel, already ended up with a cracked rear I have had to replace in the few months I have had it. Living down a rough road I am thinking of dropping a size on the wheels and need new rear tyres anyway.

Thoughts on the photoshop edition too?

Cheers

I run 17 inch wheels on my 550i. I started with 225 50 17 winters and now also have 245 45 17 summers. I'm toying with the idea of going to a 225 50 17 summer setup next.

Car drives fine with both and these are approved BMW sizes - well they are both on my door jam sticker.

You wont find many smaller wheel + smaller tyre fans on here. Most people want bigger and fatter. I've been there done that. For pottering round on the road absolutely no need unless you care about looks.

I'll warn you that most 17 setups on ebay for these cars will be run flats. Your 19 setup is probably go flat. Bear that in mind when you go shopping.
