Requests don’t mean your given the ask does it. Lots said this 320d doesn’t rev to 5,500rpm and many said beyond 4K revs the rev counter is there for the sake of it you cannot rev it to the redline as it will change up.... well Autocar have maximum achieved speeds at 5,200rpm in all gears where it could pull that all but 7/8th I believe

I've got the B57 320hp version in my 740d it's a nonsense to say the engine will rev usefully to 5500rpm it would be dying a death up there, feels natural to change up at 4.5k even when your foot is to the floor in fact if you use LC it does just that.Plus stop digging
Diesels to their best work from 2-4k maximum power is at 4k in the B57
As for how I drive mine I’m as you 1,800-4,500 rpm that’s clearly when having some progress whereas in D comfort it’s possibly never going above 2k - I don’t tend to look at the EV counter when pootling about.

It does. Wills2 also verified it does rev to 5,50 on this very page in his old 335d and his curren 740d.

Why would anyone want degrees of handbrake application? It’s either on or it’s not on.
Unless your coasting and gently applying the handbrake to clean up the brake shoes.
Handbrake for anything apart from parking is used for emergencies when the footbrake fails ie it is the secondary brakes. You don’t want to be faffing about with feel you just want it to work along with changing down hard on the gearbox for engine braking before using a hedge to stop you instead of hitting dorris
