Just picked up a glacier silver 66-plate 640d with M Sport Package (HUD, H/K audio, bigger wheels, digital dash) with less than 20k miles for £26k. There were plenty around even cheaper but not in the colour/spec combo I wanted.
It drives very differently to the same-age F10 530d I had on lease this year. Much smoother, quieter, more luxurious - deceptively quicker too. But it also feels much heavier under braking, and the low-speed ride on the 20s is pretty awful for the class of car.
Economy is okay @ 35mpg in mixed driving. Longer runs really sees that rise quickly.
Hugely impressed with the latest version of iDrive too.
