Hi, welcome to the E90 'enthusiasts' club...!

At the risk of boring all of those non E90 chums, with the engine running, but stationary, flick the 'lever' on the left hand stalk upwards or downwards until the display shows "Service" or something similar (not in car as I type this, so going off memory!).

At that point press in the button on the end of the stalk and then use the 'lever' again to cycle through the various elements that will require attention as part of some or other service!

My car is now showing 2.5K until its oil service, 10.5K until the brake pads need replacing etc. You will see symbols representing the various 'bits' - technical term..

Unfortunately, no symbol showing when the service manager is due an brain change....

Regards

I thought the inspections included an oil change. Are they saying your inspection should have had an oil change, but a seperate countdown showed it didnt need one, so as the price for inspection includes an oil change, this will be free in x amount of miles when its due, hence your not being shortchanged on the next oil change, as they will reset its countdown?

I think that's it yes - it's just the hassle of having to go yet again to the crappy dealer and then again in 2 months for brake pads.....

Just seems bonkers that I have to visit so many times rather than getting it all done at the same time!

i think the condition based servicing is more of a pain to the customer as rather than see them once a year for a service we see the 3 or 4 times to replace filters.
We can advise on having various things done because the have only a few thousand miles to go,but alot of customers have the service packages which then they wont allow the work to be done until the due date.
I prefere the inspection way...
