Is it that hard to find an e36 touring 328i !?
Discussion
I have been after an e36 estate touring for months.. These cars seem to be incredibly hard to come across with good interior and exterior combinations. I wish I had picked one of these up years ago as the prices only seem to be on the increase, any owners here?
My last post got removed and I didn’t get a chance to edit it so apologies.

The youngest is 20 years old, and the oldest 25 or thereabouts. A 328i touring wasnt plentiful in the first place and most will have gone to meet the car maker in the sky by now, broken for parts or drifting. And then to try to get the specific colour combo you want from what little are left?

Added to which, unlike the E36 coupe (and to some degree the saloon), the touring was never really looked upon as having a shape that might become a classic one day, and worth keeping (how many estates are?), so they tended to end up being neglected, and ending up as scrap/parts cars.
Yeah fair point guys, guess I will just have to keep my eyes peeled! Why is it specifically you want a touring? Have you tried on the E36 KINGS fb page? I remember seeing a couple of posts on there a number of weeks ago so you're possibly the same guy.
There's a lot of crusty ones about but there's a few clean ones too. I picked one up last summer for what seemed steep but reasonable for the good condition and in the time since I could count on one hand the amount of other factory 328 tourings I've seen for sale. Most tourings that come up have started off as 4-pots and been engine swapped. This is probably your best bet if you want one.
I've been tempted to sell but any time I've had an offer I've declined it. Prices are all over the place currently for any 6-pot E36 especially the touring. I think I'd be doing myself a disservice if I sold up as I know I'd miss it and would struggle to get another one with minimal rust.
While I've enjoyed ownership I've spent a fair whack replacing lots of parts and general servicing such as brakes and suspension and have almost 4 sets of wheels now. The previous two owners have also done a lot of work in the couple of years (bottom arms, polybushing, cooling system) before I got it and have kindly shared pics so there's not much that's not been done particularly on the front end.
It's going in for a purple tag rack to be fitted tomorrow and then I'm going to start working on the styling as I've not changed much if anything on the exterior yet. One arch has a tiny bit of rust so want that doing soon and eventually replace all window and door seals so it's fresh but they're not cheap from what I've heard. It's not going anywhere any time soon.

I think he wants a nice standard one. Too many have been ruined by the stance/drift/vaping/tattoo scenesters.
A friend of mine has a 1998 R 328i Auto Touring, completely standard in metallic green ()Meergrun I think) with black cloth, unrusty, factory paint, aircon and FSH. He lives in That London and will fall foul of ULEZ. It won't be cheap - it'll make £2500 or so with ease because there are none left in what I would class as proper condition.

What’s your budget op? My mates just prepping his for sale. 328 touring manual, all the sport extras from the factory, Avus blue with grey leather, m3 wheels. He’s had it for years. High miles but excellent condition, very well looked after, had a small fortune spent on it over the years.
