Getting your dealer to carry out a system adaption may improve the response (albeit temporarily), other wise it's a case of having the car re-mapped by the likes of DMS.

In answer to your query you may be interested to do a PistonHeads search:

".... I've just picked this one from another post - got the annoying throttle delay on an E46? This resets the adaptive throttle and gives crisp response:
Turn your car off for ten seconds (if started).
2: Then turn the key to the on position for ten seconds, but DO NOT start.
3: Then turn the car off for ten seconds.
4: Then start the car."




There is also a fly-by-wire modification that fits to the pedal of various cars, called a Sprint Booster Throttle Module which might be of interest:
