DTUK in 120k 330d

Sorry if this has been done to death, haven't found a straight answer. I have a well looked after 330d E92, I've had it most of it's life so I know it's well looked after. That said, it's got 120k miles, do I risk expensive things breaking if I mess about with a DTUK box? I don't drive like an idiot so it won't be driven hard every drive, just the odd occasion when I like to put my foot down.
