As my e39 is considered to be “old school “ I’m wondering if there is a company still in existence that can provide chip tuning? Not too many years ago companies such as Superchips or similar would offer 10% increase in power .

My old 523i is around or just under 170 bhp (factory spec) so it would be good to get up to 190 bhp or so.

Before anyone says replace the inlet manifold the ones advertised either have damage or are in Lithuania.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

I had the rear exhaust box deleted last year and was quoted £500 for supply and fit of two 200 cell cats.

I know many will say upgrade the car but other than two small areas of corrosion behind the sill covers which I’ve had welded last month there is no corrosion on the car.
I’ve had Eibach lowering springs and Bilstein shocks fitted, motorsport front and rear anti roll bars, powerflex all through the car, brakes completely renewed with EBC pads and discs and new hoses. The list goes on. Maybe put a 2.8 into the engine bay which I believe is an easy fit.
