Sorry for the monumentally boring question, but we're considering an E46 3-series to replace my 911. We've got twins arriving this September and I am wondering whether the boot is big enough for the average twin buggy. I had a E46 coupe a few years ago, and the boot always seemed pretty big.

Any help/commiseration greatly appreciated

Thanks chaps.

Maybe it'll have to be a *spit* Vectra, and then a more fun car.

Just spotted a nice 5-series Touring...I was hoping to avoid buying an estate, though! It's bad enough having to sell the Porsche, let alone get a bloody old man's car

5 boot 'tis indeed very big. In addition to all the baby junk, Ive found it to easily accomdate massive gearboxes that I keep aquiring.

The Touring or the saloon?

The M5's boot is massive. I have folding seats as well and the only things I can't carry are objects that won't fit through the boot lid.

Not sure the kids will appreciate having the seats folded on top of them, but I will ask.

keep the 911 !!!! Great for 2 kids!! Buy a 1994 525i touring estate for £1500. Reliable, big , tough, cheapish to run.....

I'd love to, but I have to start putting cash away for school fees!
