Lights snag, any ideas folks??

Hi folks,
Weird occurence.....
Car is an E39 528i touring.

The offside full beam light is staying on whether the lights are on or off. Other lights are not affected, and it can't be controlled by the lightswitch....it just decided it was going to illuminate itself, and that's it.

So, as a temporary measure I have removed the bulb.

There are no loose earths, the other connections are fine, is it a module thingy somwehere? Now I know my alfa and TVR are supposed to do this, that I could accept and indeed expect (athough they haven't done anything wrong )

Stumped silverback, can anyone cast a light on what's going on.

Stuck relay? Try identifying & removing the correct relay (with the bulb replaced ) to see if it goes out.

Don't know where the sodding thing is, handbook is no help either...

Is it the "light and check control module" I'm after? number 2, and where is it?

spanners and thing's I'm ok with, electrical stuff confuses the heebeegeebies out of me. Sorry chaps, bit dense tonight...
