E36 - "dry ice" from cabin vents!
Discussion
Driving down the M4 earlier with the climate control set on 19C. Suddenly, what looked like dry ice poured out of the center vent on the dashboard. I was a bit shocked to say the least!
Popped into Dick Lovett Bristol, where the service guy said it sounded like a leak (either water or refridgerant) in or near the heater matrix. They would have to access it and remove it to find the leak - a 7-8 hour job!
Anyone heard of this happening before? Air con seems to work OK now, although I've switched it off to be on the safe side.

Had similar effects in very humid weather - just water condensing due to the aircon and forming what are effectively mini clouds.
Yup - happens every so often in mine - especially if I turn the Air-con off for a moment (you know, for that extra boost ) and then turn it back on - I'll see those clouds every so often.I'd say DL were yanking your chain there my friend.
Get thee down to Clayton Cars ASAP - they are much better espcially for a car your age.
Clayton cars it is then
