looks like its the e36 then. the thing im worried about is that i drive 60 or so miles per weekday to work. will the e36 1. be able on the roads as a comutive car as wel as on the track and 2.(most importantly) be able to cope with that milage?

Why not go E36, 4k on parts and 1k on a daily diesel.. that way if you do have a spill or want to to a big mod you can take your time and use the daily runner.

Also limited mileage on an M3 with mods would save you allot.

Some thing like this thats cheap like this and you can put parts etc in the back...

given i spend 3 hours per day in my car driving to work i would like somethin i enjoy driving, given i plan to visit the track 2-3 times a month i dont really want a car dedicated to tracking.

thats a good question which unless i have the experience i would just be guessing... not sure if the perks of a petrol round a track is that much (with repects to money difference) better then my tank - given it does have 325Lb/Ft lol

Mightn be any point in anything as im currently awaiting a court date for 62 in a 30, and before you all acuse me of being a tosser(because i do believe in the speed limit around town) the piggy bank was parked 100Ft inside the national speed sign. Location - the one and only brecon beacons.
